A moment of love

In the land of chocolate rivers and candy rock mountains, there lived a princess. Well, not an actual princess, but everyone regarded her as such. She went by the name of Pue, and she was a chocolate Pherret with a purple cotton candy belly and little snow sugar socks on her paws.
The Candy Cove was a beautiful land, full of many happy, peaceful animals. Pue had a few of them doting on her, but none of them really caught her attention. To the public, Pue was polite but just, but in all reality, she hated it. She wanted to snort at random dumb jokes and play with her food. She never really had the chance to act childish, since everyone expected everything from her. She was essentially the leader, the decision maker, never able to really be herself. Everyone was so cocky about their feelings though. Sending her rock candy rings and candy heart necklaces.Except for the one who loved.Little Fingal. The most awkward mouse in all the land. He was clumsy, but selfless and just wanted Pue to be happy. He was too shy to ever say anything to her though, and he didn't have the time. He spent most of his daytime fishing for Gummy Fish to feed the stray little Goobers.
Everything was fine, a bit boring, but fine.
But one winter, it went way too cold. The townsanimals were fine, however, most of the environment was not. Chocolate rivers became thick and dreary, barely flowing at all, cotton candy trees became brittle and would randomly break. Brown sugar sands were just uncomfortable and too chunky to take nice strolls on.
And of course, everyone looked to Pue for help.
