A quiet teenage boy haunted by past trauma, Teiji's shy, awkward nature belies his ruthlessness. With a narrow view of morality and unwavering belief in eye for an eye, his capacity for violence has only grown as he's gotten older, and he is becoming increasingly extreme the more corruption he discovers.

Teiji's tiny home village was razed, his family brutally killed by bandits when he was only eight. He keeps the trauma close to him and relives it to motivate him, fueling his hatred of violent criminals and motivating him in ways happier memories never could.

While Teiji is still young, his experiences have caused him to develop a dark, even power-hungry side, for a large part of him longs to rid the world of evildoers and he knows that he will need to become stronger to do so. Already he has made reckless choices in his self-appointed quest, including accepting a pact that ended in him being granted a powerful but dubious sword, which seems to become deadlier the more blood it spills. There is a part of Teiji that worries he may someday bring the people he cares about down with him, but for the time being he is too set on his path to stop for long.

Despite his deep-rooted anger and violence, he is introverted by nature, shy and prone to blushing. He doesn't tend to seek out social interaction for fear of embarrassment. He is particularly prone to awkwardness around women... and especially Isena, whose history of thievery and kind nature make for a combination that he finds difficult to comprehend.
