Drip.
Drip.

The storm had seemed to rage forever. Liv had hidden in her burrow as the freezing rain blew past in sheets. The wind howled, throwing around debris, which she could only see when lightning lit up the sky. It was pure terror.

Drip.
Drip.
Drip.

But it had finally ended. Liv had ventured out of her burrow, but as soon as she had a large drop of water plopped on her head from above. She glared up at the offending tree, and grumpily wiped away the water.

Drip.

Drip.

She flew upwards to view the damage from above. Many trees had blown over, and the ones that hadn’t were missing branches and leaves. But it would survive. The warm sun shone on her as she flew, the sky now bright blue with a few fluffy clouds. She looked up and saw a rainbow on the horizon. She let out a gleeful whoop as she soared through the sky.
