a day in the life

Oh! What a morning! I am ready to tackle the day, I must go see the humans and make sure they do not miss any of this perfect morning! Look how dark it is!

Alas, they are asleep, I must do my duty and wake them up, walking over their heads will do just the trick! Why do they seem annoyed? I just want them to see how nice it is and... hmm, this pillow is exceptionally comfortable, perhaps I will just take a short nap... the human is awake now to give me pats while I sleep! What a coincidence.

Later That (Actual) Morning...

Hmm, the human has delivered my breakfast, I will have a few bites... What is this, human??? I wanted the fish, not the chicken! She had better not expect me to eat this garbage. I shall walk away in disgust, and-- are those birds I hear outside? I am a hunter, I am the void, let me hurl myself bodily at this narrow windowsill to see my prey-- ah, maybe too narrow, I seem to have fallen to the ground... oh look! Chicken for breakfast, my favourite!

Probably Around Noon, But Could Be Anytime TBH

Squirrel! Let me at 'em... human! Remove this glass barrier between me and the outside!

And Then Soon After That, But Maybe At The Same Time

Maybe if I yell at the door for an hour or two the humans will notice that I would very much like to go outside and watch the birds fly by. So far they have not gotten my hints. Maybe if I meow louder... wait, human what are you doing!? You can't just pick me up and give me kissies! This is undignified! Put me down at once!

Sometime Later In The Afternoon...

What a busy day I have had, I am exhausted, where shall I sleep today? No, these beds the humans have left me are far too soft, I don’t want those. Ah, yes, here’s the spot. Why would I sleep anywhere but this cardboard box? It is perfect.

Right Around Dinnertime

Humans... I see you are eating dinner, I would also like to eat your dinner. I am but a poor starving kitten who wants only a morsel of meat, or maybe you could find it in your heart to share a piece of cheese? What is that they’re saying? I have food in my bowl? No, that is unacceptable, I will continue to sit and stare until they break.
