Tell me, am I the only one?
holds the essence of life in her belly,
drifting across the heavens.
drift
I have been drifting among the stars for eons. The little ones who Perish might deem me a Deity, for the sheer vastness of my existence, but I'm not sure if I was always there when the universe began. My memory has faded, as there was never anyone else to remember me by. But all I have known, from the foggiest of my memories, was that I liked to collect the most interesting configurations of, essentially, stellar refuse. When all the particles have separated out and calmed down, they start to form the most intricate and spectacular forms. I have collected them all over my body, although I cannot forcibly keep them all there. It is just as well, for I keep collecting and introducing new fellows onboard, and they very excitedly interact with each other. I collect these compounds as well as shed them, exchanging matter with my donor patrons - nebulous seas, cold and dead stars, dusty little rocks that even forget themselves and obey no laws. But the best places for sharing are the seemingly barren planets with the consistent warmth of a mother star.
I can't exactly remember a time before I was blossoming. Somewhere and somewhen, I have picked up compounds who predictably affect each other, and reformed themselves into a little system. Now, my body is almost entirely made of what you may call life, although I might not be considered a living being. Usually very quickly, many of these systems set out to preserve themselves over the others, threatening the existence of other ones. I [ ] [ ]There is not much I can do about dividing or compartmentalizing them, except for preserving them in cold chambers of ice.
Over my travels, I have kindled the machine of life on many little planets. Some don't take root - the planet just wasn't ready for fertilization. blah blah blah seeded little pockets of planets with life, but there's nothing else like her amongst the lonely stars
Lately, over my travels, I have revisited the gardens which I have nurtured young buds in.
