profile
One of Yvetta's strongest memories of her parents is of them asking her to take care of her younger brother Tybalt, which she quickly devoted herself to. Tybalt has never been as physically strong or able as Yvetta, so Yvetta is prone to using her superior strength to fend off any potential threats. She considers it her duty, if not her very purpose, to defend and take care of him. She is fiercely but quietly protective of him and never hesitates to throw herself in harm's way for the sake of his safety.
In addition to her physical strength, Yvetta is naturally very talented with ice-based magic, and is especially good with creating magical objects made of ice. Her weapon of choice, in fact, is a double-bladed axe made of pure ice, which she is able to conjure or dismiss at will, and she wields it brutally.
For all her disconnect, the things that Yvetta and her allies have been through are giving her a slowly growing interest in the idea of justice. She thinks there is a certain satisfaction to be found in making the world a safer place, with one less threat, and violence is a language that she understands better than any words. Her idea of justice, however, is developing to be considerably less merciful than society might consider just, and she has a strong tendency to base her morals around her allies and their actions and circumstances.

Tybalt
Yvetta and her younger brother Tybalt have been through a lot together and constantly lean on one another, to the point of unhealthy codependency. She is grateful for Tybalt's endless support and his superior people skills, but also worries that her own reliance on him is proof that she failed in keeping her promise to her parents: she is supposed to take care of him, not the other way around.
Despite her occasional worries, she knows that it is natural for Tybalt to have his own skills and contributions rather than to be truly dependent on her, and she is glad that he's not helpless. She doesn't know where she would be without him and always feels better with her brother at her side.
Teiji
Teiji was an unexpected companion. Though they spent formative years in the same awful orphanage, it wasn't until Yvetta discovered that Teiji shared her own predisposition toward violence that she began to take an interest in him. When Yvetta and Tybalt helped Teiji to kill the cruel headmistress that they lived at the mercy of, an unshakable bond was born.
She now considers Teiji to be something of a second younger brother (though her bond with him isn't nearly so strong as with Tybalt.) The two share a quiet understanding of being willing to do what it takes to survive and protect, and Yvetta has taken an interest in Teiji's desire for justice and revenge.
Jinelle
Yvetta doesn't even pretend to understand Jinelle's bright, warm personality; it is the opposite of her own quiet demeanor and, fittingly, their elemental affinities are on opposite ends of the spectrum as well: fire and ice. For reasons she cannot understand, Jinelle took an immediate shine to Yvetta and, while she tried to keep her distance, the archer's persistent and caring nature won her over eventually.
She likes how honest Jinelle is and envies the way she is unafraid to speak her thoughts in any circumstance, while Yvetta feels out of place voicing an opinion to anyone besides her brothers. She has grown to trust the older woman implicitly and is coming to view her as akin to a maternal figure (or perhaps an older sister -- no one will ever replace her mother, after all.)
Naeva
Similarly to her relationship with Jinelle, Yvetta does not easily understand how Naeva can be as outgoing and caring as she is, and was initially suspicious of the swordswoman due to her potential as a threat. Naeva's actions never revealed any ulterior motives, though; she has proven herself to be little more than a drifter with a taste for adventure and adrenaline.
A mutual respect of one another's strength turned into friendship as time went on. Yvetta is still not incredibly close to Naeva, as the two share little in common and Naeva does not tend to try to draw Yvetta into conversations very often, but she trusts and is glad to know her.
Isena
Yvetta hates to admit it, but she disliked Isena for a while. Tiny as Isena is and despite her history (and ongoing habit) of thievery, she comes off as socially competent and well-adjusted, and seems to be more worldly and mature than Yvetta herself. Yvetta is secretly jealous of the diminutive thief, or at least her handle on life, and resented her because of it for a time.
In spite of this jealousy, Yvetta has come to value Isena's presence. She is grateful to have a female friend around her own age and she appreciates that Isena is willing to talk about her worldview and opinions, without trying to force them. Isena understands having to do what it takes to survive, but also seems to have a better grasp on the laws and morals of society than Yvetta.
Kalec
Yvetta found herself immediately intrigued by Kalec; his more spiritual nature is foreign to Yvetta, who feels a powerful connection to her element but has never been much for religion, too focused on survival. She is always impressed by his nature-based magic, so much more colorful and alive than her own ice.
He seems to understand her need for space, and the two have formed a quiet understanding of one another. Recently, after perhaps too much time spent observing his techniques from a distance, she has taken to meditating with him at his invitation, and she is surprised to find that she likes it.
Evan
A young bard that Yvetta and her companions saved the life of, only to end up with him deciding to become a permanent tagalong, Evan is a little too cheerful but someone that Yvetta has come to appreciate nonetheless. She envies his social skills and ability to charm most people they come across, but his awkwardness in combat and general inexperience keep her from feeling intimidated by him.
Yvetta has a great deal of admiration for Evan's musical talents. A small, secret part of her even longs to try one of the instruments that he so effortlessly plays, but she has yet to work up the courage to ask.
