A demon living alongside humans in their world as one of them with an impossible quest. In theory, he should be extremely powerful and nearly invincible, in reality, he's an extremely tired man who ruined his own life. Just cause you can't die doesn't mean you're immune to damage. Terribly addicted to smoking and painkillers. Living is painful.

The demon god made two powerful demons as guards for each of the Gods. Zakki was one of them.

Though a shapeshifter, the beast became his default form, bound to it by magic, unable to change, as he was assigned to guard Eithias' palace grounds. The humanoid shape existed just so the beast had human-like intelligence and can understand everything Eithias said. Zakki hasn't used his humanoid form once when in Eithias' service.

Then Dio, Eithias' son, slipped into the human world and disappeared. Eithias physically bound to the world he created couldn't pass the border and ordered Zakki to find him. Because he could only trust his closest guard with such a task. Because nobody can possibly know a god managed to lose his own child.

But you can't enter a human world in a demon form that is the size of a truck, all teeth, and claws.

It turns out it's much easier to think and act on your own once you're not blinded by animalistic instincts and magic influence by an asshole god.

Living as a human didn't seem so bad at first. That was until he discovered how weak and fragile the humanoid form is as opposed to demons'. It was stronger than a regular human, sure, but still so much weaker than what he was used to. He never fully learned to understand its limits and basic needs such as sleep or hunger, which resulted in many health issues.

But the freedom was worth it.

He was sure as hell not going to succumb to societal rules and laws and choose to do whatever the hell he wants with his new freedom in this new world. By that I mean crimes. Being stronger than the average person and demon's immortality there was very little that could stop him. Rumors began to spread until they reached Margaret, head of one of the most feared criminal groups the city has to offer. Through her scouts, she contacted Zakki and offered him work.

He joined because it was an easy way to get money and get some form of protection, wreaking havoc alone started making him some enemies in other gangs.

While working for Margaret he met Kazana. If you'd ask how did their relationship start none of them would be able to give you a clear answer. With them both being immortals, it's been way too long to remember.

Over time he neglected his health issues so much, he managed to destroy it completely. Just because you're immortal doesn't mean you're immune to damage. He was able to ignore physical pain through painkillers but had no idea how to handle any mental issues, which were mainly caused by the fact that he's actively repressing the animalistic part of him, which only keeps getting harder to do. He murdered several people when he lost control, he started to hide from others when he felt like losing it again.

Suddenly disappearing without any notice turned into a habit and sometimes he was missing for several days straight before finally coming back home. Eventually, Margaret grew tired of this behavior and send Clock to find him and get back. Unfortunately for her, as soon as she found him he attacked her and killed her on the spot.

After this accident, he decided to leave the entire city for a little while. Only a few weeks to put self back together. While he hates to admit it, as much of an annoyance Clock was she was still a friend. Kazana let him go, as at least this time he bothered telling her he's leaving.

It‘s been now several years and he‘s still gone. No one currently knows where he is.

He still wants to finish his task of finding Dio and bring him back; only to use the child as a ransom and trade him for a permanent stay in the human world and make the beast half of him go away so he can live a normal life.
