a brief, very broad strokes character sketch in which the reader notes that I REALLY have no name ideas for this character and also how annoying my outlining process gets: GUARDIAN is lawful neutral: reliable, honorable, directed by a personal code. Order and organization are paramount to her. GUARDIAN is an Pisces: adventurous, curious, adaptable, dedicated, passionate (once she has dedicated herself to something), and finds joy in problem solving. GUARDIAN is “what you see is what you get”, honest over all else, and incredibly stubborn. GUARDIAN is drawn to those with purpose, and is perhaps looking to slot herself into a situation through which she can gain power. She is not directionless exactly, as she does have a set of morals that she holds very dear and judges every decision and action by those morals, before meeting Mils she was not sure where she was headed. She is a planner and a fighter, almost made to be someone's second in command. She is a fairly talented archer, and as such has worked as a merc previous to this. She likes the idea of a Cause, of a Purpose, and Mils has these down pat, and so of course when asked she follows. GUARDIAN is awkward, unwavering, and wears her heart on her sleeve, all of which tend to get her into trouble. Though she thinks of herself as logical, she can be overwhelmed by her own emotional nature, and tends to be naive to the control her emotions have over her. She is resolute in her opinions and will not concede that someone else could possibly be right. And though she would never admit it, she's a bit of a romantic idealist.

The Guardian is, after a chance meeting in a unkempt bar, enticed to work for Milford.

The young spellcaster is looking to free the people, bring them the magic that, as she says, is their birthright. The Guardian doesn't know much about magic but she is sure interested in the lilt in the woman's voice and the fire in her eyes as she speaks. The woman says she is looking for someone to watch her back -- perhaps, she says, perhaps someone good with a bow? -- and the Guardian smiles.

They clink their glasses with a flourish and are off in the morning.
