Chione is a Pokémon Coordinator from Snowpoint City, Sinnoh. She isn't entirely happy with her career and the persona of ice princess that she's had to adopt for it, though she's not totally sure what she'd rather be; she just gets tired of putting on shows and pretending to be someone she's not. She was pushed into it by her parents, who had dreamt of being Coordinators when younger but never made it very far as such.

Her parents disprove of her capturing any Pokémon of a type other than Ice -- she has an image to keep up, after all -- and Chione doesn't have the willpower to do anything they'd disapprove of, even if she'd like to.

She'd like to one day be able to travel to other regions for fun rather than constant Contests, but fears she'll be stuck as the ice princess forever. Secretly, she dreams of a heroic young trainer whisking her away on the Pokémon journey she never actually got to experience.

Diamond

Chionei's first and most trusted partner, Diamond's egg was a gift from Chionei's parents on her tenth birthday. He evolved barely a week after hatching, when the two were taking a walk not far from Snowpoint City. Chionei often feels that loyal, patient Diamond is the only one -- Pokémon or human -- that understands her.

While Diamond shows a fair amount of aptitude as a battler, his previous Contest-based lifestyle has caused him to be flashy, putting on a show with each move. He is surprisingly competitive.

Lorelei

gentle nature; highly persistent.

Lorelei was purchased from a Lapras breeder not long after Diamond's evolution, another gift from Chionei's parents that subtly pushed her toward doing what they wanted. Lorelei is well-behaved and agreeable, but tends to be a mother hen when it comes to Chionei and her other Pokémon.

Although Lorelei is obedient and will not refuse Chionei's commands, she prefers Contests over battling. She's reluctant to hurt other Pokémon and especially dislikes fighting those smaller than her... which the majority are. She rarely battles.

Yuki

lonely nature; often lost in thought.

The first Pokémon that a nervous and eager-to-please Chionei caught on her own, Yuki is very special to her trainer. However, she has always held herself apart from not just Chionei but all of the other Pokémon, and her solitary nature only worsened after she evolved.

Snowdrop

the female Alolan Ninetales

rash nature; very finicky.

Snowdrop was received from a man visiting from the islands of Alola, who was impressed by Chionei's Contest performance and felt she was perfectly suited to Vulpix's Alolan variant. The Vulpix turned out to be prissy, vain, and reactive, but thankfully has mellowed some over time.

By far the pickiest of Chionei's Pokémon, Snowdrop will refuse to eat if she isn't offered her preferred meal. Despite her attitude, though, she is loyal and adores her family, always quick to defend the others with her surprising battle prowess.
