Since her arrival in the Digital World, Kanami's once-mild anxiety has worsened significantly, and she has become quite clingy with her older brother and other companions. Always bookish and quiet, she feels like she has little to offer, and can only look to the others for guidance.

Thankfully, she bonded quickly with her Digimon partner. Lunamon is similarly shy, but can hold its own in combat when necessary, using a combination of dark and water-based abilities. Kanami finds her partner inspiring, while Lunamon draws strength from Kanami's unending faith in its abilities; and despite their timid natures, the two have great potential as partners.
