It can be hard some days, watching over everything; not being able to see those you love as often as you like, or at least have them see you.

But to be at home with the silence of the stars, their faint, shining essence the only thing keeping you company - along with the muted nebulae and the swirling galaxies - it can be oddly comforting.
This place is my home now: I get to watch stardust glimmer past, I get to watch the most marvelous of stars combust before my very eyes, I get to watch our galaxy in it's elegant brilliance in every waking moment, and watch the natural progression of our solar system.

The day my soul was lifted from the Earth, I always thought I would be nothing more; but when I went home to the universe, I devoted my soul to being her protector... and it's truly all I could ever ask for.
