Looking up at the sky, Quest wondered why there always seemed to be a glowing white patch with no twilight colouring. It was never in the same place every time they looked, like that white patch was able to move somehow. But it just felt wrong like there was something missing.
One night as Quest was gazing at the glistening things in the sky, they realised this odd patch of white was exactly the same size as them... maybe they were meant to be up there, filling in the empty space which stood out so clearly.

They found a ladder and tried to climb it, but not having arms and legs made things a little challenging. Next stop was the trampoline in the garden; they bounced quite high, and wanted to reach out to touch that odd white patch, but it always just seemed out of reach. They considered trying to reach from the roof of the shed, but again there was the problem of how to get up there in the first place.

Defeated, Quest sat on the grass, tears dripping from their eyes. Something was in the dark grass, glistening just like those glistening things across the twilight of the sky. Sniffing and flicking their head to clear the tears, they looked closer. Maybe if they couldn't fill that space in the sky, the could at least make their own glistening sparkly things and do their own part to make a sky down here on the ground.

Quest now spends their days collecting up various glistening sparkly shiny things, and spends the nights in the garden with a selection of their favourite glistening things stuck to them, watching that odd white space creep across the sky.
