The ones on the very last few pages are just...painful.
I spent as much time on mine as it took to click the "Load Saved Outfit" She was wearing the same thing last Christmas. Ooooo minus the beauty mark. That was new =)

SpriteyWith the strong similarities between some of the Top 10 avatars, I think there might have been quite a few repeats because people A) genuinely liked the look and B) perhaps thought they were voting on the same HA once more. That could account for some of the scores, and I think there is enough evidence out there to reinforce the assertion that tradition usually wins out over abstractism. Look at the winner for the EpiCon contest...it was Jasmine from the Disney movie Aladdin, a character that most every Western Subeta player is familiar with from their own childhood! Therefore, it makes sense that a traditional "caroler" outfit would settle into the hearts of a lot of voters <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

wince I really didn't think I'd get this bad a score... I tried to think out of the box. Most of the HAs that looked 'good' looked the same. Just a bunch of nice clothes thrown on with a nice backdrop.
I probably feel a bit sour because my entry's score was close to one that just put on the snowman body wearable with creepy eyes...

I do still think that there should be at least four options to choose from at a time. Even if you were on for ten hours a day and voted every chance that you could, you would still have only seen fewer than half of the HA's... and that's only if you never saw the same one more than once! (I saw two specific ones over a half dozen time each). Also, the only one of the top TWO HUNDRED that I even saw (let alone top twenty!) was Weasley's! (which I did vote for, although I had thought at the time that it was Georgie's, which is similar, but it was the better of my two options either way <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> ) Something in the system is definitely flawed somewhere... But congrats to the top ten! <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />
Still, I think that if you didn't see anyone in the top, that's prolly a good thing. The chance to be ranked should be as fair as possible- if people with a higher percent got more chances to be judged, they'd be outclassed by an avatar that got only one yes vote, or blow away a great avatar with three yays and one nay.
Of course, don't listen to me. I got 12th place.

That being said, I'd like to see an option to forego a vote, (As general "No" to both, perhaps?) and prizes distributed based on percents.

Wow, so many Debbie Downers. I'm sorry you guys thought maybe my HA was uncreative, but I did spend a lot of time working on it. How nice to place well in a contest and read the news post only to see most people just talking smack.

But considering that almost all the entries I saw sucked, someone had to win, and I guess it was better some of them than the ones I usually saw, right? DoomQueen, that's pretty much how it feels. All day it's been reading about people being shocked that you won because apparently a piece of crap was put together. Or that it's uncreative. Or bland. I thought a Victorian entry would be nice but it seems like I should feel guilty for putting it together and that some of the other winners wore a dress, or had the same backdrop or god forbid wore a hat.

Well maybe if everyone did the same thing and only voted for the HAs they really liked instead of just picking the best of 2 bad choices so bad entries don't get many votes, that might make the results better. So the good HAs would automatically get more votes. That's how I'm going to do this from now on, if neither HA is really good I will skip.

I had to admit I'm a bit disappointed with the results.

I don't really get this contest this time to be honest. I like my number, but some of the people who got low ratings deserved more. I swear...

I have to admit, I'm pretty disappointed with this. I ended skipping a good 75% of all my votes due to HAs with no snow theme/items or simply being crap, and I didn't see any of the top 20, or even top 30 that I can remember. I'd really like to see an overhaul of the voting system. Think I'm going to have to steer clear of things like this 'til that happens

I liked the voting used in the first contest much more than I like the current system. During the whole contest I voted for maybe 10-15 avatars I thought were really nice. Even looking at the first page, most of the winners look nice but there are ones just as nice if not nicer that placed much further back.
#68! And I voted enough that I saw several of the top 20. But yeah, I'm actually pretty disappointed in the consolation prize. I understand not giving out anything "cool" since we don't want to encourage people to enter with crappy HAs, but this is a little anticlimactic after a month of staring at an endless parade of snow vomit.

I loved the 1st place HA and I know I voted for it, but the rest are kinda disappointing. They all look similar and to me they lack creativity.

Overall disappointed with this. The winners are clones, completely useless prize (though pretty to look at), snowballs on faces, and why no descriptions? Descriptions would have helped so many people that either didn't have an obvious snow/winter theme or were references to something.

Why aren't there any descriptions? I knew before I entered that the snowballs would end up not being removed, so I made sure to enter without one. But, what's the deal with not having any descriptions show up after the contest? I did my entry as Ralphie from The Christmas Story, and I knew I would place poorly simply because some people wouldn't get it. BUT, I was okay with that as long as the description was there AFTER the contest was over.. it's not.

There's over 3700 entries... it's not physically possible to have seen even half of them -.- I don't understand why that is the major complaint here.

Congrats to the winners. They were all quiet deserving! I especially like #1! However, I am again disappointed that I never even saw ANY of the Top 10. It apparently didn't make a difference, but there has to be improvements to this system if Subeta is going to keep doing it.
I got #292 and am not displeased except for the fact that I never even saw or had an opportunity to vote on most of the ones on the first 10 pages and the male HAs did not get enough love. Don't want to be a whiner but, there are some fantastic ones that did not get in the top 100 and some boring, uncreative ones that did.

I was pretty disappointed because many ahead of mine I thought were really ugly. It's too bad that so many people apparently voted for ugly or bad HAs just because they weren't as bad as the other choice. I stopped doing that and began only voting for ones I really liked. Wish everyone had done that, I feel it's not really fair to the good ones to give votes to bad entries just because it's the only choice. That's what I'll do next time, only vote for good ones and skip all the rest. But congrats to the winners! You did a good job.

Were always the same two HAs shown as a pair or were they paired randomly? Were they paired up manually? How is determined which avatar is shown?

Im really suprised I didnt see any GRINCH characters. That was my first thought, and I discarded it because I figured there would be WAY to many to stand out. So I chose the Caroler.

I liked the 20 on on page from the first contest- but it should be possible to choose as much as you like or vote the HAs you don't like. And the contest was too long.

I liked the 20 on on page from the first contest- but it should be possible to choose as much as you like or vote the HAs you don't like. And the contest was too long.

Sadly there are no male HAs at the top 10.
But I'm glad there is no Edward this time... XD even he has snowy items, too.

Aside from the reindeer the top ten are all really similar.. o_o and none of the really good ones I've seen even ended up in the top few hundreds.
