It seems that an exciting give-away is taking place; Boxes of beautiful pastries and trinkets have been making their way around the festivies from an unknown source. Join in to collect some pastries for yourself, and share them with your friends and family.

Well, as far as I understood it, only Zombies can get the boxes, but they are supposed to gift them to someone else.

Dangit, and I decided not to rot this year. Ah well, my hubby is still a zombie. I'll live vicariously through him maybe.
After looking up the morse code on each pastry using the list on subetahq i've come up with this.... 'GOQZMYCXBDKT1PWLRAFUVHSIE 0594618372' anyone know zombie and can translate?

Does anyone know when Skitters starts considering you a zombie? Is it only in the final stage of the disease or does it happen before that?

Skitters won't give you pastries if you aren't a zombie. You can get/buy them from other users, the random event is pretty common ;).
For anyone who hasn't gotten it yet or is confused:
It comes as an RE(I'm assuming only on the survival forums); Skitters wants you to help him, gives you a box, tells you to send it to someone else, but NOT to open the box yourself.

A random event box should pop up at the top of the page and when you click it, Skitters gives you a pastry box.
