Internet Explorer 9!
Microsoft has released the newest version of their web browser, Internet Explorer 9.
We suggest that anyone using IE7 or IE8 upgrade now, for all the new features and security updates in this new IE!

What if i'm using linux and dont really have Internet Explorer?
i would update if i could. microsoft wants all us people with XPs to buy the new junk that sucks. and all those other browsers you people are talking about? i cant use them, they lag the crap out of my comp. NB4 you all squawk, i take better care of my comp than most people.

I like my Firefox. Chrome seems pretty cool but I really haven't had reason to switch. IE is kinda eh... maybe its gotten better?
oh and for youre information people. I use IE, I have no problems with it and like it better then the other browser's. :D

Thanks for this. I use Firefox religiously, but still need an updated version of IE to test websites in >.<

Thanks for letting those know, that cant/wont use another browser, Keith. I, myself, stick to FF. :3
Internet Explorer works shitty on my computer (constantly freezes) and FireFox crashes a lot too. I've never had a single issue with Chrome so.. I use it for everything.
I use FF for Subeta but IE for everything else. Have had problems with FF in the past crashing, having to restart my computer & do everything over again so FF isn't perfect. Never had a problem with IE. So I use both now.
I use FF, I didn't know Chrome was so popular (after reading all these comments).
Good to know for those who are still using IE. If they like it good for them, and they should be informed that there is a newer and safer version.

The only way to surf the net is to have a mac, they dont get virus's. But i'm using firefox on here so IE can go far far away.

@Jesterhead Keith has posted multiple news posts in the past about how Chrome/Firefox are way better, he knows. This is just for people who won't/can't use a different browser for whatever reason.

Thanks for the heads up! :) I use Chrome, but unfortunately there are some things that won't work on it so I like to keep IE installed as well.
xD I'm not sure I'll upload, because regardless of safety stuff (and my love for Opera and FF), IE just lags awfully for me, especially when using php/animated stuff like Subeta... it's really unaffordable :/

I used chrome until the last update and not I don't like the layout :( So I am back to using firefox. I never use IE anymore, but thanks for the notice :)

Won't be able to upgrade anyway... IE9 only works on Vista and above... XP users need not bother as "sorry, no workie for you..."

For all the commenters that are complaining about IE not being safe:
Do you not realize that the most common way to get viruses is YOUR downloading habits and YOU not knowing wtf you're downloading? You can get viruses with Chrome/FF/Opera the same way you do with IE.
The only reason IE is much more hacked upon/exploited is because it's popular. There are exploits and hacks for chrome - they are popular now as well.
I don't think half of you even know what you're talking about for 'safety'. Probably don't even know what a stack/heap overflow is, or what heap spraying is. But I bet you're just jumping on bandwagons about browsers and can't possibly form your own opinion save for aesthetic value.

It's about freakin time an update comes out.
I actually use IE, Firefox and Chrome. Personally for me, some sites such as Subeta and Facebook just seem to load faster on IE than they do the other browsers. But then there are sites that take forever to load on IE, but load fast on Chrome. So I like the option of having those three, so thanks for posting about the update on here :)

I use both IE and Firefox at the same time, especially since Firefox has a lot of problems crashing on and off for me. My computer automatically downloads new versions, but thanks for the info.
I haven't used IE in years, not since my desktop caught a virus when I was browsing deviantART using IE. I've been using Firefox ever since, it's a lot safer in general than IE. Hell, I bet the latest version of FF is ten times safer than this new version of IE
Ah, Internet Explorer. The number one browser used to download other browsers. I sure as hell don't miss it.
My mum only recently in the past few months switched from IE to chrome after many maaany years of annoying IE, bless her.

Lol? Keith, you should start using Firefox. IE is really overrated and we all know that it's not THAT safe like some people think xD. And more slow than any other browsers :)
