Okay so I had high hopes for the chibi lain because lains are gawwwjust, and even with my super high expectations I am blown so far away I seriously cannot comprehend how blown away I am someone pinch me I think I am dreaming this beautiful wonderful perfectness.
OKAY my bird does that pose all the time and it is SO WELL-PORTRAYED HERE! Lookit that little cutie patootie preening his FREAKING GORGEOUS BEAUTIFUL INCREDIBLY WELL-DRAWN tail feathers and being SO SUPER ADORBS lookit that cute babby bird!! lookit the bird EVERYONE GO WORSHIP THE BIRD AND THE ARTIST OF THE BIRD I WILL GET VIOLENT IF YOU DO NOT THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE EVER ANYTHING EVER BEAUTIFUL I CAN'T WORD

Generally pets do not make me go HURDURHUR TIME TO GO RUN OUT AND CHANGE MY EXISTING PETS EVEN IF THEY DO NOT FIT THE CHARACTER but this lain. this lain is so fucking perfect in every way I can't stand it and I NEED IT SO BAD. I need it so bad, so fucking bad. I never change my pets' characters, I never abandon any babies, but I need this so bad holy shit HOLY SHIT I NEED IT!!!!!
As I said the pose is wonderful. it is a supercute pose. The colors are FANTASTIC -- generally I find that I like to think about ~dem overlays~ but oh my god there is not a color I would change on this to improve the look. The different shades, the brightness of the main body, THE EYYYYE. ;;o;; Oh my goddd. the shading is freaking to die for seriously I would kill to be able to shade this oh my god that FEATHER unf. The feathers look SO GOOD overall oh my gooooooooood they are such wonderful feathers HOW DO YOU FEATHER SO GOOD.
usually I do not know what to think of the lain's little GLOWY ORB THINGS because well they are glowy orb things and how am I supposed to feel about glowy orb things, but these fit so gorgeously and work so well and I love the glowiness, it is so perfectly done, not too bright and not too faint. The beak is the MOST CUTEST LITTLE TINY BEAKYTHING I HAVE EVER SEEN look at that tiny cute beak LOOK AT IT! LOOK AT HIM PREENING HIS CUTE LITTLE TAIL FEATHERS WITH HIS CUTE ADORABLE FANTASTIC BEAK LOOK AT THAT BABY BIRD LOOOOOOOOK AT THAT BABY BIIIIIIRD
Oh god seriously artist I hope you see my insane ramblings because even if I am once again terribly embarrassing myself, I am so freaking in awe, SOOOO IN AWE, and this is so gorgeous I could just die. This is a PERFECT, absolutely perfect pet, and I need one and I am in awe and I love it I love it I love it.
well-done, artist, for making a person that has never abandoned any of their main pets and who is generally set on having them all be a certain species and is kind of freakish about their pets in general, truly consider messing around just because they need this so bad. So so so bad.

LOVE! I'm so glad I can add to my Chibi hoard with the Lain, I didn't have to think twice about using the potion.
