Free Gift: Revolutionary Mock Turtleneck

It was a blow, to hear of Jobs. First thing I did was come check at Subeta, but of course - it takes a little while to actually *make* an item, not just a news post! On a lighter note, before I'd actually heard of the news, I saw "RIP jobs [sic] :(" on a friend's Facebook wall, and I thought, "What does that mean, we'll all be unemployed soon?" before realizing who it was about.

I just saw a video of the speech he gave, from which that quote was taken. Beautiful! RIP, Steve Jobs.

I was never a big fan of the Apple products, but hearing that Steve Jobs died, made me sad. He was influential and a genius with a vision. RIP Steve Jobs

This is wonderful. Seriously thank you very much Subeta, you always seem to catch the essence of a person in a way that fits the site, but also honours the person who died. I will wear this with pride.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. - His own words sum it up best, I think.
Thank you, Keith. And rest in peace, Steve. You've earned it.

Is a sad day today :( R.I.P. to a visionary who took his dream and passion and turned it into such an amazing thing. I grew up with Apple, SE, 2e, 2c and learned to program on them in HS. Had a powerbook g3 for years as well. Sad, Sad day :( thank you for the tribute Subeta!

I have never owned an Apple product, but there are a few I do.
You gotta respect a guy that made something as HUGE as apple is, and so many people love.
God bless ya man.

I started crying the moment I heard the news, a couple of hours ago. As a graphic designer, I'll never be able to thank him enough for what he has done for me, as a student and as a professional. He truly created outstanding technology and designs.
RIP Steve Jobs

This is an amazing tribute, especially given the time it took to come up with one, and I have to agree with what Eleandra had said; I especially love how this site feels much more real - and I am still pleasantly surprised every now and then.
Nevertheless, it's sad to see someone with so much ambition, much more, someone who had the guts to actually work towards such ambition. RIP, Steve Jobs.

Hm.
Even though I'm not really an "apple fanboy" or anything, this seemed very real to me for some reason. Probably because I know people who worked with him a lot, but I mean I haven't even met him before.
Anyway, thank you for the lovely tribute Subeta <3

Thank you guys for doing this. To me it was expected. I saw a picture of him shortly after he resigned and he looked rough. He held on for a good long while. I just wish it was a little longer.

You know, I wasn't too worked up over this, but for some reason this brought a tear to my eye. Very nice tribute.

RIP Steve Jobs.
I've been using Apple products for several years now and they're some of the best pieces of technology I've ever used. Thank you for helping to create these wonderful machines we use daily and thanks Subeta for an outstanding tribute to a genius.

RIP Steve. I never liked Macs or its fancraze but that doesn't mean I'm not sad to see someone with such ambition go. :c

I am not much of a person to post on public forums on a site, and especially not my private feelings, but...
Keith & Subeta, you really did it this time! Here I was, holding up pretty well, but now I see this free gift and am bawling my eyes out. I think everyone should turn off their iPhones, iPads, iPods, etc all at once to observe a moment of radio silence in his honor. But until someone with more ambition (and time) than I have organizes that, I will just wear my new mock turtleneck and grab another box of tissues.
Thanks Subeta team, for once again being both timely and appropriate in your honoring Steve. That is one of the reason I love this site so much--I know it is run by real people, with real feelings, who seem to pay attention to, and care about, what is going on out there. (Keith, I feel your pain and am sorry. At least he changed the world, and leaves behind someplace better because of his life.)
Sorry for the "Hallmark moment" all... this is why I try to avoid crying.

I knew this would be coming... Heard the news just a little while ago, and was surprised until I remembered the battle he was waging was with an opponent that simply does not lose, at least not with today's technology.
Maybe, someday, another visionary will charge forward with innovations that lead to a revolution in the way we see medical science, and cancer will no longer claim so many far before their times.
Rest in Peace... I'm sure there's an app for that.

Thank you for this tribute, I actually hadn't known of his passing before reading this newspost. He had an imagination that revolutionized so many parts of our world, and the loss of his creativity and ingenuity will leave a hole in the technological world forever. I may have always been a PC user, but I can appreciate the drive and passion that made Apple a compelling force for change.

A lovely tribute. I was so sad to hear he was gone. I have been a loyal Apple user for many years. They are by far the best computers out there all thank to Steve.

I just want to say, and you know this if you follow me anywhere, this has really affected me personally. I have spent my entire professional life on a mac, I've stood in line for the iPhone and I feel that Steve Jobs is truely the genius of our generation, and we've lost our Carnegie or Gutenberg. I'm really crushed.
