I love space based items, and this one is such a lovely tribute as well as being extremely well made. RIP Armstrong, may we all follow in your footsteps and explore even further into space and science in the future.
My father adored outer space and NASA, and I grew up loving it too. I was so heart broken to learn that he had passed on. Thank you for the beautiful item.

A fitting tribute to a brave man and a momentous event. I hope some day America remembers everything the manned space program has given us and takes us to the stars again; until then, this is a nice reminder.

Wonderful tribute for a brave brave man, watched a documentary where James May (top gear) met some of the moonwalkers and saw the original rocket they went up in. It was a bucket of bolts :) you would never dare that much nowadays. One small step indeeed
RIP Niel Armstrong, I will forever remember sitting on the floor in the dark, inches away from the old TV, watching those fuzzy images of you on the moon and hearing your famous words. I was in 7th grade and since then, I've seen that clip a hundred times and it never ceases to cause me to hold my breath in anticipation. And then, when I hear those words again, I choke up with tears and I marvel once more at what it was that you actually did, you took all of us to the moon with you on the greatest adventure in human history. Thanks Neil. For me, you are the man in the moon. ( Wink )

Neil Alden Armstrong (August 5, 1930 – August 25, 2012) was an American astronaut and the first person to walk on the Moon. He was also an aerospace engineer, U.S. Navy pilot, test pilot, and university professor. Before becoming an astronaut, Armstrong was a United States Navy officer and served in the Korean War. After the war, he served as a test pilot at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics High-Speed Flight Station, now known as the Dryden Flight Research Center, where he logged over 900 flights. He graduated from Purdue University and completed graduate studies at the University of Southern California.
Armstrong died in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 25, 2012, at the age of 82 due to complications from blocked coronary arteries.

I actually wanted to be an astronaut when I was a kid and he was my hero for the longest time. :( R.I.P. Mr. Neil Armstrong.

All the astronauts, when asked about it, say they can't really remember what it was like, what the stars looked like, etc. That's not suspicious to you? And in one of the few interviews Armstrong gave, he broke down into hysterics and said some cryptic shit like "It's up to the next generation to peel back truth's protective layers!"

Even the most cursory of searches into the moon landing will show that it's impossible with current technology - much LESS sixties technology - to get past the Van Allen radiation belt without dying horribly. Look how soon we made it to the moon after founding NASA. Why could we go so easily over four decades ago when the country that was actually winning the space race - Russia - couldn't? And why did Russia never make it? And why hasn't any other country besides America been to the moon ever? Japan said a few years ago that they were planning a moon-trip and hoped to do it in TWENTY YEARS. Starting with twenty-first century technology. It's Japan for fuck's sake. They build cars and electronics and fucking robots and they can't do what we did in the sixties after only having NASA at all for a mere few years?

I was in elementary school, when I saw the broadcast on the news. Everyone in the family, neighborhood, city and nation were in front of their TV watching Neil Armstrong doing this historic event. I was in total awe of such an amazing event. Way to go subeta staff using his foot print impression to symbolize this tribute!!!
