Monthly Collection + New Feature!
Congratulations on surviving … 2012! You'll be glad you did, because not only do we have an awesome monthly collection to give you, we also have a new feature!
Each month in 2013, there will be a separate Cash Shop item that matches our monthly collection's theme. This item will unlock a new challenger in the Battle Coliseum! The item to unlock each challenger will only be on sale for one month, but once unlocked, the challenger will stay in your opponent list forever. There will be a challenger for each of the 12 tiers (in random order) throughout the year, and each challenger will drop a weapon suitable for its tier. The first opponent is for Tier 1. Have fun collecting them all!

TestName, this is well worth 250 CSC. You get an opponent, three pieces of loot (one of which is a weapon), the ability to earn those loot drops with multiple pets, plus experience... for the same price as one monthly collection item. :)
Siyashiye -- the Duqinox Plushie had a space on the end of its name, so I removed that. Should be searchable now!

If you search "Duqinox Plushie", you get a message: "This item does not exist, please be more specific."
Seeing as a user below sort of mentioned that one item might be referencing little Marcie, I'm kinda sad there isn't a Hambo item :c

I'm gonna think on this for a while before I jump on it, but I actually like the idea. I bought the Molten Summoning Tome over a year ago and I'm still working on beating its opponents, so I'm already open to buying more challengers.
I do echo that paying the same price regardless of tier is a bit off-putting, though. At least Forj "evolves" as you defeat her.
So Hunger Games, Planet of the Apes, iRobot, Boerlands, Life After People. Those are the only references I get. (And I didn't even get the Hunger Games ones, I just saw other people talking about it. xD) Anyone wanna help me with the rest?

Since the challengers are unlocked via something, they will not be showing up in your battle quests.
A monthly challenger is a nice idea, but I doubt I'd buy one. :c
Well, I'd probably would someday, but I am not really into battling.. I am just.. interested in the wearable, and if I am not able to beat the challenger, I bought it for nothing at that point, at least..

Love how the item to unlock battle challengers is also a book. Also curious if these new challengers will be included in battle quest rotations?

i like the idea of the battle oponent, i only battle for plots and the easy ones.. but a lot of users battle so this is nice.
i don't think the 250 csc for tier 1 is unfair... because somepeople (like me) it's the only tiers they can win and they have a chance too.
plus i feel it should cost the same for all 12 tiers... if they made it csc price according to the tier, the people that can battle higher tiers may complain about paying more than others... so... this is the most fair way

adding on to my other post tho: I was really skeptical when this was suggested, but I think this is a really good idea. It's like instead of just paying for the dp weapon we get a challenger forever as well; I approve
So basically it's 250 for a tier one weapon this month, I don't think it's worth it, might be for later months though I couldn't beat those challengers :P
By the way to people wondering: when you use the book to unlock the challenger it does not disappear. So you can ALSO read it to your pet.

Such a cool idea with the challengers! I like how it gives something more each month for battlers. :)
