As EPICon winds down, let's revisit one of Subeta's older offerings, Mystic Spindles! This game of organization is sure to help us clear out the clutter in our brains after memorizing the rules for so many different games over these last few weeks! If you manage to get the gears of your brain especially well oiled and complete an intermediate, hard or very hard game, there are some bonus points with your name on them!
As always you can earn bonus points for playing any selection of our previously featured games, and the contestants in the Cosplay Contest are counting on you to help get them to the top spot!

I got the four corners achievement but honestly I still don't know what the hell happened
I think I just kept trying until it came up with an easy set up lol Did it in 1:06 minutes

Did four corners in 1 minute 51 seconds, (got the achievement) and felt really proud. Then done the next two games in 1:48 and 1:23 respectively and realised it isn't even a hard achievement to get haha.

Love the revamp, this is really great to play. And I especially like the different modes which help keep the game fresh.
I didn't think I was going to be able to get the under 2 minute achievement.
With a time of 1:48, I was close to not getting it. My heart was racing. LOL. I hate time trials. ;a;

Thank you so much for the revamp on this game! I was dreading the idea of getting bonus points when I saw the game of the day, but when I went to actually play it, the game was great. I may play this way more often now!
For anyone unaware, you can play more than 10 times to get bonus points, it just won't count towards the achievements and you won't get any sp! :)
excellent revamp, my only problem is i have to wait ages for the game to start up, and it gives me no notice that it is loading. i need to click the 'start over' button dozens of times before any of the blocks even appear; despite this, the timer keeps running.
If you're having problems moving things, they are drag and drop. No keys, no clicking the buttons like MS used to be. Just drag the stacks to the spindle you want them on.
Does anyone know what keys/controls to use for the game? I can't figure out how to make a move & am uncertain as to whether it's my browser or something else.
omg I think I actually love this game now. No more having to, click, click, refresh the page, click, click, repeat. :D It's going to take me a bit to get the hang of the new discs though. I was really use to have the dots on them actually corresponding with the size. Now I keep mistaking the fifth disc as being disc number four. They're all not even label odd or even. :o

ooo spindles look spiffy now. Also lol at the intelligence experience points achievement. Easiest one to get for me since I somehow have over 1k points already. Off to see how the game plays now.
If I thought the puzzle game yesterday was bad this one is just as bad. I don't understand either of them but congrats to those that do.
They need to edit the bonus points requirements details on the game to actually reflect the bonus points requirements. Now.
omg I just got lucky with the starting positions of the discs in four corners. a lot of them were already in the right place and order, so I actually just got the around the world in two minutes achievement :O didn't think I would
I was thinking about this game just a little bit ago thanks to all the gaming going on. Was kind of dreading having to do it too, but the revamp has helped with the reason I remember hating it - waiting on discs to move... XP Classic 5 was my game though, so I'm glad to play it again and I love what's been done with it~
Wah I can figure out the easy one in like 1 second but I'm too slow with my mouse for the 10 second thing so far, grr.

Hey everyone! :) FOR BONUS POINTS, "COMPLETE AN INTERMEDIATE, HARD OR VERY HARD GAME." It says so right in the middle of the news post, although it's easy to miss.
Wow, don't know if it's the revamp or if it's just easier than I ever thought, but I'm doing pretty good! I just have problems getting it to the middle. It takes me three times as long for that.
So happy this game got its long-overdue update. :heart: I played it a lot when it was new but the layout had been kind of broken for years, not to mention how slow it was when each move required a new page load. goes off to farm some int exp
THANK YOU to the lovely people who revamped this game! I very rarely played because of how long it took to play one game. Thank you, you guys all deserve a medal for all this stuff.
It would have been nice is "win" had been more defined I sent my score on the easiest levels first since it wasn't specified which difficult that counted for and of course it didn't count for the bonus points. Now I can't get as many bonus points today as I would have been able to if it had been specified what difficulty we were supposed to be playing on. Next time there is a game with multiple difficulties PLEASE specify which difficulty will net the bonus points so everyone understands the requirements. Just using "win" when it doesn't count for games won on easier difficulties is not clear. :c
i used to play this game all the time and the revamp is beautiful. if i have time i might try it out. :)

I agree with deanosaur :U I really like games. I felt like before the event there werent many that grabbed me. And with these I can do games instead of always questing, especially when laggy. I might forget to vote for cosplay, but I love this bit of epicon. So stop complain :U
Just throwing this out there. For all you people that 'wish this was ending' etc, you know you can just stop playing if you're bored of the event right? There is a fuck tonne of people (like me) who are actually still enjoying this, and wishing that the event was over only effects those who actually want to participate, not those that don't.

I am horrid at math, to a point where I was in beginning pre algebra in senior year. And I am doing just fine at this. Its less math and more puzzle. Start with the biggest pieces, work your way up. Similar to how youd do the slide :P But I also love and do a ton of puzzle/memory games irl to challenge myself. But once you get the rythm down its better. My first game on very hard was 15min, I just did it again in 6min. So practice :D

Omg yes! I love this game but hated how the page reloaded every single move. This will be playable for me now! I would get migraines before. So excited for the revamp :]

For points you have to go to the Mystic Spindles Shop, when you click it your points should register + any achievements.
The achievement should pop up when you do the under 10 seconds one but it might not appear in achievements right away, it showed up on my profile though.

I always get turned around while playing this game, but I do definitely appreciate the revamp. Might consider playing it more often now.
I finally won hard ;) in ten minutes. I think I'll have to think this over a little more if I want to get to that 2 minute mark.

I was so proud of myself for finishing a Four Corners mode (very nice revamp, btw), until I reread the achievement.

I love how quickly I can complete games now. It use to take so much time when the page had to be refreshed with every move. I just have to remember to double check the bases when playing Matchmaker.
If you don't see a "send score" button that pops up upon completion, do a hard refresh; it should show up for subsequent games.

Guys, the send score button shows up on the bottom with the other buttons when you've completed what it asks for.
Awh yeah man, I was really excited to solve three intermediate puzzles until I realized that my points weren't counting ; ; Oh well, back to minesweeper I guess.
The revamp is so lovely! I've always loved this game, I'm happy to see it get some spotlight.

I appreciate that this game was revamped, though! It actually has a really nice reward system so it's nice to see it get some love :)
Achievements are not given either for both the completion ones, the intelligence one is working fine.

Also took a peek at the game before going to bed since it looks like it's having troubles. Very nice update!! It was LONG overdue.
It's wonderful that this game got an update, but I've won a few games and it didn't register my wins in the Daily Score or hand out SP/points.
Okay, glad I'm not the only one with the game restarting every time and not sending the score.
Getting really tired of games not working right when they're released. No way to send scores, wins aren't auto posting on the epicon score page. So how in the heck do we get points for this?

I appreciate the fact that the int exp achievement is retroactive. I don't understand how scoring works though. I finished a game of 'Classics 3' in 7 seconds but didn't get the achievement, and it didn't say how many exp points I won.
Okay, so... I beat Classic 3 in under 10 seconds (9, in fact), and no achievement. Like others have said, there's no way to submit your score, so how are you supposed to get points?
