Reading drive shop update
We're reopening the old reading drive shop for the week for people who have old reading drive points to spend.
On Saturday we are going to close the shop and clear reading drive points to prepare for the new pricing format in the shop. All old items will remain in the shop in addition to new items. So we highly recommend spending any reading drive points you have saved up from previous years!

Or, when I think about it, I'm fine with loosing the points. Just give me the books I turned in. I rather read these to my pets than participate in a reading drive again.
Missed this newspost. Was busy with work all week and on vacation on the weekend. I was away for only THREE DAYS and now I come back and my points are all gone?
We collected for years and than we have to react in only one week? Or hundreds of millions sP and countless hours of work are lost? You can tell, I'm really annoyed.

Is the counter broken? I have 19 books and 11 points.
And I get that this event is supposed to be a SP sink because there are a lot of rare just sitting around and a lot of SP needing to be spent, but I wish there was a VIP type deal where super users could get VIP points for turning in books from donation presents etc and the rest of the poor bozos like me could just get a few points for trying.

Except, that isn't how it has always been. At least, I don't remember it being that way. If you had left over points from one reading drive they carried over to the next one, but you couldn't re-turn in the books that earned you those points.

I was saving all of my points for a reviver of the lion, though apparently I have the points for it now.
What's the point of wiping the points then? At least give a little more time! I'll be busy with work and not a lot of time to figure out what to spend them on. Poor souls that miss this announcement too.

Because in the past when this has happened, there's been warning or the old shop stays up during turn-ins. They don't wipe it, have people complain, and then open it back up. It was a shitty move that they can't even admit the oops.
Besides, just because it's precedent doesn't make it 'fun' or a good idea

Rather upset that this wasn't considered beforehand. Like, for real? Just wipe them, who gives a shit?
Glad I made a ticket instantly when I realized that was likely the intent for points so that I didn't loose mine.
Hope no one only plays on the weekends, or they're getting their points wiped! Hope no one comes back because they heard a new event was happening but misses this announcement.
It's a poor move. Just keep the old shop separate. Wanting people to have access to the items wasn't an excuse for EpiCon, past plots, etc, why should it be this time? I like the idea of people having access to old items, but absolutely 100% not at the expense of wiping points.

Omg yay so I have a chance to get the old items I wanted really bad! I do feel for the people with old points thou. I know id be upset to have to spend them all instead of trading for the new ones.

We should be able to convert them to the new system, an option to at the very least. Don't get me started on zombies right now either.
Wow, I don't even have any old reading drive points, but this is ridiculous. So now you have to constantly check Subeta to make sure that your points for an event aren't suddenly taken away? What if someone isn't on this week and they have a large number of points? @User not found: _@
So the old prizes will remain? That's much better than EPICon, I will give you that. There are several older Reading Drive pieces I want, and if the new items don't appeal to me, I at least have that option to fall back on.
I totally missed last reading drive and had lots of books for it. Happen to not get online for a week and lost out...me too sunfire ,, wow this must be a new trend with sites seems only the certain few are allowed to play Events . all the rest of us must sit on the side lines .. sad real sad

So I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get that many points with the books restriction, and now I have to spend my old points on things I don't really want just because you'll delete the points? Doesn't seem fair :/

I was wrong O: I thought people would be mad if they were saving points for something specific and now they are forced to spend them all up. Maybe I don't know how this thing works.

Also, could you please, pretty please make the reading drive so the hover info works? It would be nice to be able to mass add the on subetalodge but the way it is right now you can't even read the titles of what you ahve turned in. Comparing images for 750+ items? No.

Yay! I still need Truth Serum and Soma Tablets(as well as a few other items), so I'm glad they're definitely staying there. :D

yeah, super, so I saved all my points for new items and now the special books are all wasted and I need to spend them on things I don't really want instead of having plenty for the new stock!
This is exactly what I thought should have happened with epicon points. I'm glad that the previous drives items will be available though! Also, just thank you for the awesome events that just won't stop coming (and rocking) this summer. :)
