Fireside 2013
Fireside is an annual celebration which occurring in late Autumn. During the Fireside festival, citizens of Subeta gather with friends and family to share the harvest season's bounty and honor the legendary red rreign who once saved their ancestors from a frigid Winter with no food or fire.
The bonfire is a central part of Fireside, not only a symbol of the fire of Red Rreign, but also as acknowledgment of the shortened days and colder nights of Autumn. Typically, families will enjoy a large feast at home and later attend one of many public celebrations around a large bonfire, burning relics of Red Rreign to signify the purging of his former bullying behavior. One can often see impressive displays of fireworks in all shades of red, orange and yellow at these public events.

You may find various Red Rreign items floating around the site. Offer these to the bonfire in Veta Lake, and perhaps the spirit of Red Rreign will reward you. However, be warned. Burning the wrong items may anger his spirit, potentially causing great harm to you and your pets!
Try your luck at vending the new Fireside items at Blue Skies! Please note that these items will be removed December 1st!

ROFL @Shay - I just got one of those Firhoggs, I thought much the same! Hugely impressed by that pair, lolol
....I do have one little complaint, though. Can you guys maybe tone it down a bit with the guilt trip descriptions on the floating items next time? It was endearing and cute when it was just one or two from a batch, but it feels kind of weird to have the site constantly yelling at me for putting them to their intended use.
As a curiosity, I have donated 73 itens but I'm still stuck on the 25 achievement? :/ Is it glitched for now?
I've had some lovely stuff from Charity :) Thank you! And new things from the Bonfire, though others I can't remember if they were last year's or not, so it makes it that little bit extra exciting, lol. Burn, baby, BURN!!
Well Im glad I spent so much wasted time, saving pumpkins for fireside, to get that dress >_> I don't understand whats wrong with having both open. It seriously gives us more to do, and frankly after Morostide there a ton of pumpkins around the site. I don't understand why it has to be "one person" a year that is stupid.

I think it is typical that when I have pumpkins to spare is when pumpkins are not needed lol But I'm not even mad, charity's items are cute
Achievements are for people who participate in things when they happen, as a symbol of having participated in the thing. If you want all the achievements, do all the things. I was working a lot and missed that whole cruise plot with all the salon hairs, and yeah I kind of wish I had the salon hairs, but I'm not going to complain about it because I don't deserve a prize for a thing I didn't do while it happened. Fantine was last year's event thing, and if you played along you have those achievements. That is the entire point of achievments. There will be new Charity ones I'm sure - we're not being "screwed out of" achievements, new and different ones are added.

Wow, so much hate D: It was never said that Fantine would be a regular thing during Fireside. I'm glad there's something new this year!
Would it really be all that hard to open both Charity and Fantine? Subeta complained about the Reading Drive that there wasn't enough for users to do: that we'd just turn in our books and be done with it. And now that so many users want to participate in an event, Subeta shuts it down. Having both Charity and Fantine would give users more to do and keep users active throughout the whole event--exactly what they implied they wanted during the Reading Drive.
reading posts now Seriously? No Fantine? I hate the way Subeta screws us over with achievements. Hate, hate, hate it. Screw it all. I hate it so much. This whole achievement system drains so much fun from this site for me. No matter how much I work, Subeta always yanks the floor out from under me with achievements. So many of them are unachieveable achievements. It just sucks. Why the heck do you do this to us?

The pie drive was something exclusive to last year. This year Charity is asking for help instead of Fantine!
Well, that was a waste of 57 old Rreign items into the bonfire. Not a single new item! Call me when this feature works.
I'm a bit disappointed with no pie-giving this year. I would think all holiday achievements would be available on that holiday. I think it is also pretty reasonable in a canonical sense that Fantine would be baking pumpkin pie again this year for Fireside. Oh well. I'm sure there will be other things to enjoy. : )

how rare are these vendable items? I am just curious since I vended like 200 tokens and did not get one new item? Just wondering if I should even bother to vend.
