Hello, friend. Tell me, have you ever traveled the vast Saherimos?
Picturesque as the rolling dunes and endless azure skies are, the unwary traveler may fall victim to any of many ends. The unlucky may stumble upon a sand spirit with a malevolent deal to be made, and others may become the victims of desert raiders; though they search for relics of the old empire, they may trade their shovels for swords if your pockets look rich enough.
It is true that savage beasts and venomous snakes lurk in the sand, but through it all, the true danger is the sand itself. The shifting dunes and dizzying sandstorms mean that even the most seasoned explorer may find themselves hopelessly lost, each glimmer of an oasis on the horizon vanishing in a shimmer of heat before it can be reached. The noktoa, the elegant birds of prey you met just today, rely on these tricks of the sands to remain unseen, both by men and by the wyllops that are their food.
How then, can an explorer be sure to survive? Why, with a guide of course, and I can think of no better guide than the neela. These beasts, once thought to be the stuff of legends, have a keen sense of direction and cannot be fooled by a mirage, and it just so happens that today we meet for the first time (but certainly not the last) - you, a prospective buyer, and myself, a humble breeder of neela and nothing more.
What is your life worth? Surely not less than the price for one of these majestic beasts. And for creating your first neela OR purchasing your first neela elixir from the cash shop, I will grant you this entire selection of special items:

The way I see it, you either spend your time doing quests to earn the virtual money (which, let's be honest, have essentially no entertainment value), or spend your real money.
Even with a minimum wage job, I can earn $2.50 significantly faster than I can earn the sP equivalent of 250 CSCs. So for me, sometimes this is just easier.
Although, of course, I know not everyone has real money to spare on things like this, so what's most convenient for me won't be what's continent for everyone.

...After thinking about it a little, I don't personally have any problem with this pet being a cs-pet as long as this one is special and the cs isn't going to be filled with cs-exclusive pets in the future. It's one thing if this pet is unique that way but it would suck if Subeta started selling every other pet for csc.
How am I supposed to afford two pet slots? And an elixir for one of these? And one of the owls too?! Ugh, why do I always have to be so broke?! Or maybe...why do Subeta artists have to be so damn talented is the better question, lol. *goes off to cry in a corner

I'm not sure I'm comfortable with a cash only pet... Aren't our wallets strained enough with CW's?

Oh my goodness, this is gorgeous. A little disappointed that it costs CSC to adopt one though, considering that I never buy anything with CSC. oh well. I don't have room for one at the moment, anyway. But seriously, this pet really is stunning!
I was a bit disappointed at first seeing that it's a cash shop pet but 250 csc isn't that bad of a price. And I have no one to turn into one now. :( I should just buy the elixir and wait. Just need to figure out what color.

OH MY GOD I honestly don't care how much the elixirs cost. I think it's very neat that there are multiple ways to get certain pet species, and since it's possible for us to get almost all of the older species for free (or for very little), I do not mind that the elixirs for this beautiful, amazing new pet are found in the cash shop only.
And the price tag is nothing! Do you see what people pay for CWs? I'd much rather pay for a completely new pet species than a custom ring or hairstyle five times the cost.

I don't know if someone has asked it already... but are these going to stay forever? or just for a short period of time?
I don't see the issue with this true beauty being CSC-only. If CSC couldn't be bought with sP, I'd see the issue. But really, all one has to do is some restocking, maybe make graphics/art/writing, or even just play games for a few weeks, and they can make the sP needed to buy the CSC to get the pet. I've been on other sites where you couldn't get the cash-related items/pets from normal user shops with normal site money, and that's really annoying. But Subeta's pretty good about that.

But, hey, it's some inspiration for me to earn more sP. Getting CSC is not just for those with real cash. And there are many potions and items that cost more than this. It's not the worst thing ever to have a CSC based pet. I just hope there's a good balance of CSC and non-CSC pets in the future. I do feel that a balance is necessary to keep this from becoming one of those really money-hungry pet sites. If the next few pets are cash-only, it will start to have that vibe. If this is going to be one of few, then it really will seem well-balanced. shrug I'm not a fan of a lot of focus on the cash shop, of course, but this isn't the worst thing. Just my two-cents.

Also, I'm not sure how I feel about Subeta now selling pets for csc, but the Angelic potion also goes for quite a bit of csc and is it that different?

yeah seriously guys. even people without that much time in their hands to make sp can get this through sp eventually if you just save up. i dont think the gift card prices will rise so much, after all there are many choices of cards and they're always available, with more people wanting to buy them from user shops, it's likely the price would even drop because more people might try to sell them and the competition will take care of lowering the price... and there surely will be people selling the elixirs themselves in a while. i myself just spent 8.5m buying a 250 csc card and got myself a neela elixir, 8.5m is a lot for me since i dont get much sp but just saying it's doable
I love this pet, it is incredibly gorgeous, especially it's common color. I'm so excited to get one I think I know what my first loyalty box will go towards. I do wonder if the 5 items will still be around then or if this is a special December only thing?

For those complaining about Subeta becoming all about "making money", get over it. You have the choice to spend real life cash for these extras, or not to. For Keith, this is indeed a business and he is going to make money off it. That is as it should be. It is no different then any other pet site that becomes successful (nor any online game in general). Actually Keith is to be congratulated that the site has made it this far and is popular enough for him to make some money from it... the vast majority of sites fail.

aw now whuuuut??!!! I just pounded a pet for the owl you introduced this morning and I go away and come back and BOINK! A new pet?! My head's spinning here! It is very cute and the common color reminds me of a sunset. SO... I may have to go pound another pet! I'll have to think about it.

It's 250csc guys, not 1k csc. I think the price is rather fair for a cash shop pet, and the art is gorgeous n_n
Seriously people? Just buy one of the elixirs when people start selling in a few months for a few million sp. I personally love this pet, and it is more than worth the 250 CSC. There are things in the cash shop that are way more expensive than this, and they aren't worth it. I can't wait to spend two bucks to get a BEAUTIFUL and unique new pet. The more I look at it, the more I just can't wait to buy one.
I love the idea of cash shop pets, but unfortunately, I have other bills, expenditures and expenses that come before any web site. Sure, their gorgeous pets, but I need food on my table, my rent paid and my water and electricity to be paid each month too. Then there are my transportation costs including gas and other things in life that must be paid for. Well, I'm sure you get the idea by now. Love the idea, just not sure I can afford CS pets at this point in time. Landlord might get persnickety if they found out, that web games come before my rent. Just being honest and realistic with this so please, so my sides of the story too.
I fail to see how spending a few million sP on CSC then buying the elixer, or adopting the pet, is any different than spending a few mill to buy any other elixer, or having to work your way into the Blue Building to get a Bumbus. If you're not willing to spend the "real" money then save up the sP. It doesn't dampen your fun on the site. For myself, I love both new pets but have no open slots. :( I will have to give some serious thought about who might get an elixer, and if so, which new pet I want!

[with the cash shop beasties/pets] A little disappointed to be honest, as from my view, Subeta is already making quite a few bucks from CWs, and, to an extent, Custom Overlays. Now, it feels like the site is becoming more and more about money, especially with the introduction of "Cash Shop exclusive pets", rather than having fun for free. What I see is "you need to pay to have something you think is cool". I see people more concerned with the latest CWs rather than focusing on the pet aspect of the site (which is quite large), and the amount of money I see spent on the site daily simply astounds me.
Why not make the Neela Limited Edition, like the Endeavor, Sheeta, and Cadogre, instead of Cash Shop exclusive? At this rate we'll also have to make Limited Edition species (which haven't had any official releases for free creation in quite a while) Cash Shop exclusive, too. Meaning you can't get a Endeavor, Cadogre, etc...unless you buy an elixir or buy free creation of one from the Cash Shop. IMO it's either or, it makes no sense to have a "Limited Edition" pet and "Cash Shop exclusive" pets at the same time.
As for those saying "OMG you guys are so lazy, why not just make 8 mil sP" and mocking the other users, well, I'm sure inflation of the new Neela pet will make 250 Credit Gift Cards inflate to even higher prices, in the double digit range in terms of sP. Not everyone also earns buttloads of sP like other users, nor time to spend making millions upon millions of sP. Normally I would have no issue of paying CSC to get sP or to get a new pet, but I lost my job, and despite pounding the pavement, I haven't been able to find a job for over two months. I'm broke, and thus, I see it perfectly from the viewpoint of those without jobs or money. Looking back, I'm extremely glad I was never into the latest CWs, or else I might have spent a lot more money on Subeta than I should.
