Warning About New Year Tokens
The new years tokens will taken out of quests on January 7th, so make sure to grab what you want from the New Years Shop before then!

@StarShadow you can access the shop by going to your currencies, it is at the bottom of the list. :)
They arent even giving out very many tokens yesterday did all the quests and got 10 tokens total from completing every wizard, cinthia, cursed, library, Maleria Keith are you going to give out more tokens before the end of the day
Dang Ive been doing quests and get like 2 coins in 20 quests ;A; I guess Ill have to buy them...
Maybe this has been answered already but I don't see it. If the New Year shop will remain open, where is it? How will we get to it? I don't see it in the main shops. Just wondering.
anyone noticing theres less tokens per grouping of quests now :( makes it hard to get enough tokens.
make yesterday and today the Cinthia's Quests and got for 20 questions just 2 tokens... snieff...:(...

Same question as Taffysm - will the shop close or stay open? Will we be able to use the tokens again next year? It would be a shame if people ended up with tokens they worked for and could never use again.
Thank you for a heads up! I love the new years shop/questing for coins! I have done good coin wise and will be able to get the new items just not sure about the old ones :D So many on my WL its like a blue square party!
I see this has been asked but I could not decipher an answer. I see the coins will stop on the night of the 7th. BUT is the shop CLOSING for the year as well? I just want to verify as I will set extra (if any) coins in my vault until ext year. Thank you!

okay so we can get the tokens until the 7th from questing - will the shop stay open longer to choose or is that also the last day to get it from there ??
its just that if we can earn the tokens until the 7th it would be nice that the shop would stay open until the 10th or so - so we can choose wisely instead of in a rush lol :)

So is the 7th the last day to quest, or are you ending it right at the beginning of the 7th, meaning the 6th is the last day to quest? Either way, I'm having fun with this event concept :D I think I'm doing ok on tokens, I probably won't be able to get everything, but I'll be able to get most things I want.
Ugh , the random rate sucks . Esp for alexander/maleria whose items are 90% over 40k but pays a pitance :/
Hopefully I'll be able to at least get the wearables, because even with a gold account I'm not sure I'll be able to get all of the items in there.
You know what would be super-awesome? If this week's Weekend Special Quest were to give out a new years token every time. Bats eyelashes and smiles ingratiatingly
Zarra, I've been getting them from Quentin, Wizard, Maleria, Cursed, Library, and Cinthia. I know that you don't get them from Saggi or Major Drills. Not sure about any others, though. I haven't wasted time on the quests that aren't updated with the shop search link yet with the exception of Saggi because I needed SP.

Yep, @Jessica. That way if you have any tokens left over from the event (or purchase them from shops later on I guess), you'll be able to still get things throughout the year.
Also for those not getting many tokens, we'll see how many have gone out by this weekend and up the chance if we think it needs to be!

I've had great success receiving tokens from the quests and have had fun this New Years event, thanks for the heads up!
People wouldn't be so pissed if they could actually get tokens from questing or extend this by a couple of days because of the lag. I'm not saying 'GIMME MORE FREE STUFF OR I'LL QUIT' either.

Edited the post to fit better! I forgot some of the shops stay open when they have currency (I was thinking the alegarten shop but realized that was with SP haha)
That's rather unfair. Quests don't give the coins out all the time...I feel as though it should be opened at least a month! :(
So... why close it when other seasonal shops (Esther, Lounge, ect...) are opened year-round? Just curious.

That's bizarre. Why would it close? None of the other seasonal shops get closed (vesnali, steamworks...). We just aren't able to acquire the currency anymore. :/
