Well, I think her new art is not cute at all, in fact, the first time I saw the new art I thought 'scaaaaary o-o'.
The shading is very good , but the fact that her proportions are off makes it look horrible to me. I don't want to be mean here, I see that the artist has skills in colouring but needs to excercise in drawing cute children /teenagers.
so here is my critique (and again it is not to be mean, just for the artist to improve)
I think everything is too chubby. Her head is ROUND (her eyes nose etc too!). The head shape of the anime version is much better and the eyes don't look so off like in the more realitsic style. She should have smaller eyes and a smaller nose (makes her look like a troll o-o). The chubbiness makes her a lot younger, too (anime version: young elf vs. new version: toddler troll with wings)
Overall I would prefer the anime outlines with an updated shading.

In addition to the fact I hate her new art, I actually made out worse with her as a WQ. I did these quests each day and not once did I get one of the 100K+ SP prizes. But I would once a day before she was the WQ. The prizes I did receive were no different than a non WQ.
And her new art is bad; I adblocked it. The eyes are demented gnomes, and she looks like she has scoliosis. She's not cute like she was previously; she looks like a cursed doll. Thank goodness for adblock.

I get better prizes with her when she's not a weekend quests. Most of the items she wanted today were very expensive. I'm talking 19,000,000 sP. I don't think so! LOL

O_O You'd think the revamp would fix those weird feet. Seriously. Try to position your feet in that way it's impossible

Yea, she's definitely not giving as good of items as she does usually. I've been having better luck with Alexander, and I'm losing money with him, but I'm still getting rare, super rare, and ultra rare stuff from him, and tokens.
Not today. The few times I've done her quests she seemed very inconsistent. I make a few SPs on a quest then lose SPs on the next 2-5 quests. Strange. Just saying that "increased prizes" should actually be increased some times.
Starshadow, trust me, cinthia is sometimes more worth then any other quest...can give around 150k sp :)
Agree with Stefany. I don't really care any more who the weekend quest is, they're hardly worthwhile. With "increased prizes" we should at least be able to break even on the SPs but they pay out so little now I often end up losing SPs instead.
If you're going to try for a more realistic style, for the love of god, don't give it anime eyes.
But what I really can't get over is that there are so many other images that need a revamp more than Cynthia -- like the basic antlephore, perhaps?

I can't vouch for how different her quests are normally, but I made at least 500k and 5 tokens today. I only wish she gave more tokens.
Only 2 new years tokens out of ten quests, and she keeps asking for uber-high rarity items! I don't want to play with you anymore Cinthia.
I don't mind the new art... I just wish the weekend quests meant something. Weekend quests are a joke. Both the item and sP rewards are not increased or special. Used to be, doing quests was a great way to earn sP, but now... all the quests might as well be a big hole to throw all your sP into. And after the revamp even the Wizard quest is just like the others. A waste of time. Now, it has become that the only way to earn a decent amount of sP on this site is to be an artist. I just think it's crazy. blah. /endrant
Only made 20k from her this time around. Had to quit 3 of the 10 quests I could do due to her asking for items ranging from 70k-400k.
My problem with Cinthia's art is the same on both old and new versions...her feet are completely bizarre! I don't know how anyone's legs could swing together to join the feet in such misalignment, and even if it is possible in reality, it was a poor choice of pose for her artwork. It just looks wrong and always has.
She would be 10,000% less creepy if he was headless. Don't know how that works but it's true.
She must be a bit confused. My side bar says "Cinthia's Quests: 20 / 30" but when I try to do another quest it says 20/20 and I can't do any more.

laughs I must be the only one that actually likes the new art. I'm new here, so didn't know the previous version was the "old" art when the news of the revamp showed up - I always assume the one on the left is the old, the one on the right is the new when two pieces are shown side by side - so actually thought the old art was the newly revamped version. To me, that one was frigging creepy. This one is lovely. Sure there might be a few things that could use tweaking, but between the two, this is definitely the one I prefer.
@LadyTamara Her ears are growing out of her jawline. I think she looks okay but the anatomy is strange and you can't fault people for pointing that out.
I would've done Cinthia's quests anyways, luckily, but it doesn't seem to have any different/better prizes than the last few days of questing with her :x

Hmmmm... took a long hard look at the two styles of Cinthia. Personally I like both styles, the artwork is quite nice (I agree with another user.... I wish I could draw like this).
While I do not find anything ugly or "creepy" as some folks say (I think she look srather cute, actually), the new look does make the little girl appear a bit disproportionate as compared to the older work. Perhaps it is the way she is sitting on her swing, as she looks a bit scrunched up (like she's curling her body around instead of casually sitting on the swing). The other thing that may actually be getting to a lot of folks is the way the pigtails/ringlets (or whatever that hair style is called now-a-days) tend to make the head look puffed out and larger than it seems. If you cover up her pigtails, the size of the head does look fine... but the eyes do look rather larger than normal. Then again, it seems this is the way most anime/manga art looks, so perhaps this is simply my old age (and memories of older style comics) getting to me LOL!
But overall I like the new art as well as the old. Good job and I can't wait to see more!

I haven't really done many updated Cinthia quests but I did one yesterday before her being the WKQ and I got the same prizes (low) as I did with her today being the WKQ. Out of the 10 that I can do, I get one that's worth 50k-100k+ and the others are all 1k-5k (mostly being in the 2k range) with prizes just as low.
I'm not complaining -- I did get an increase of ~100k sp -- I just don't see a difference between "increased" prizes verses regular Cinthia.

The new art makes Cinthia appear like a cross between a monkey-dog that got hit by the short bus. ;)
Compare her art to Sarah's art... They don't look like they exist in the same universe. The new art is very manga-styled compared to some of the other NPCs.
Started out with 8K on hand and finished with 673K on hand.
I'm really pleased with her as weekend quest. Her face does look a little off to me, rest of her looks great though. I think it's something to do with her eyes, maybe just how big they are on her face or the shading. On her old picture they seemed more like wide eyes of innocence.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like the new Cinthia art. Her eyes are way too big for her face, it just looks odd and a little creepy.
Really don't like the new Cinthia art... I think its the face. That, and her body doesn't seem proportionate maybe? Like, she's too stumpy. I don't know.
Hmmm...I think people's main issue with the updated art might be how detailed the shading is. The depth (is this the right word?) of the shading on her face makes her look strangely older; simplifying the shading a little might help soften out her features a bit. Also, with the more "realistic" look, the giant eyes look much more off-putting than in a more manga-style drawing.
That said, I do prefer the new art to the old one. It's more fitting for the subeta style, and she actually looks more like a kid.

I really hate the new Cinthia art. I can't put my finger on what it is specifically, but she looks like a weird, trollish-looking human child instead of a cute little sprite. I don't particularly like anime style, but this is a major downgrade.
um well, here are my thoughts. I'd cover the teeth with the lips again, that gives her a softer look. The nose a little more upturned, and more delicate / less gnomish.
The hand holding the plushie looks like an arthritic claw, I'd suggest to make it more ... gracile, with softer lines, and the other hand as well.

i'm not usually the one to be bitchy about con crit but this has completely surpassed being helpful and gone to being rude. I think you guys need to lay off the 'she looks creepy' and 'she looks demented' because that's not going to give anything of substance for the artist to go on. :// why don't you give your ideas? you have eyes, you can figure out what bothers you about it and give an idea on how to fix it, rather than groaning about it and being downright awful to the artist.

im sorry to the artist who is good at what they do but did u have to make her look like shes a toddler, because im sorry but that is what i see when i look at the new Cynthia. Was that the intent to have her go from looking like shes between 7-10 to looking like she is 4-6?? its nice work but i dont like it :(
The way her hair hits her eyes it what bothers me I think. It looks very cartoony for the style.

I strongly dislike the new art but thats nothing ADDBlock can't fix, I really don't know why you stopped making polls before revamping, no interest in happy users anymore? And you really should look up the meaning of "increased" because it is the complete opposite of what you've done here!

I am comparing the news image (old) to her new art and hate to say but I like the old better. I have been doing her quests for a week or so and honestly see no difference between weekend and non..
i didn't get to do her quests last week so i'm going to try this week. but i just looked at the page and saw the new art and i'm a little disconcerted. i'm not sure i'll be getting much sleep tonight, and not just because i'll be trying to do the quests. >_o

I don't think the new art is 'scary' or 'ugly'. Just an...Odd mix of realism and anime/cartoon-y. I kinda like it. Its kinda how a real child would look. Her ears are a bit low, but that's all i really find wrong.
Strange...since her revamp I always made at least 100k with her quests. Now that she's SPECIAL I lost 20k and the items aren't worth a mention at all. X'D

Awesome! I like her quests, so will definitely do them this weekend. :)
I was surprised when I saw her new art though. The shading and detail is great, but she has lost her sweet, impish charm, and no longer looks cute to me. :( The proportions seem a bit off, too -- her lower half has retained its daintiness, but her upper half and her head especially seem larger. I really like the details added to her bunny though.

I don't know... there just seems to be something wrong with the head on the new art. I much prefer her old look... wish it would stay that way (or just do the shading on the older version).
avatar.subeta.net is loading extremely slow subeta friends. You may want to check on it and make sure it is okay. Images all over the site are loading extremely slow and the screen goes black. That's what it is telling me at the bottom left corner of the screen when each page loads after the lag :).
Her Weekend rewards GREATLY need tweaking - sometimes I would turn in items and get 2k, and another time I turned in items of VERY similar rarity and got 158k! There's no way to tell how much you should spend on her quests, even in general, but ESPECIALLY right now, urf...
I see nothing increased about it, she isnt even giving me new years coins. And I got like 2k on most of them :|

I am sad the art was changed. Poor Cinthia was hit over and over again by the ugly stick :( poor thing
Also, this is the second week she's been WKQ... and just like last week, I don't see any difference between WKQ Cinthia and "regular" Cinthia.
Wow, She asked me for "Oversized Soft Vinyl Experiment 84 Toy" its a 1.8 mil Item! And asked for a "Neon" lil fishy is 800+k!

Not sure if it's actually BEING the weekend quest, as I've gotten several rewards for less than 5k, the most recent being only a little over 1k.. Frustrating, given how few quests you can actually do per day.
I had to drop 6/10 of her quests due to the items she asked for being over 500k
