The Oracle - Revamps!
I woke up this morning feeling rather rejuvenated...I'm not quite sure what has come over me! Maybe it was that new antique coffee set I was drinking from when visiting with Allard...small luxuries of the Subetan World, they do pack a punch! I decided a few of my items needed a makeover too, and bring you the following:
There have been some additions to the beanbag chair set, what with all these new colors I've seen around. Enjoy! And if I need you for one of my quests, I'll be sure to call on you!

Absolutely love the Oracle's revamp! Now she finally looks like someone who could keep Maleria and Shinwa in line! My only regret is not having all the wearables now that they all look so good as well.
I'm sorry for being negative, but what happened to her nose? and her smile? :< I liked the old one better. But I love the item revamps, especially the dress!!
I'll miss her gentle sweet smile. The original picture made me happy after having a bad day of real life. The new version is great too. I really miss the happy characters on here that made it so much fun to come here to unwind after a hard day of real life stress. I'm just not into sad or scary characters all the time. If this is what most of the site wants then by all means give it to them ^_^.

Initially I wasn't wild about her eyebrows or how worried she looked, but I immediately changed my mind and decided I really like this revamp! I like how she looks different from the other NPCs and how she has a different expression. Not to mention, I really like the Oracle Accessories item too!
Not a fan of the nose or eyebrows (a little too muppetish for my tastes), but the rest of the revamp is lovely.

Thanks for the lovely revamp :heart: I don't think she looks particularly old now, but that would make perfect sense for her. (Not every character has to be a 17 year old, least of all the Oracle.) Besides, was her age ever specified? Since the original art style was very simplified, age was more implied with hair colour. Remember, even the Wizard didn't have a single wrinkle on his face or hands back in the day, he simply had that long white beard. The Oracle always had silver hair...
Most of the new art looks absolutely beautiful, but I gotta say, I don't like the new look of the wing. It was definitely in sore need of an update, but I liked that the old one was open. I liked to use it as like a winged warrior kind of thing, as though the other wing was lost in battle. The new version of the wing just gives off shy vibes though, I can't use it anymore.
Woah, what a revamp! I must admit, it will take a little getting used to, but I think she looks absolutely lovely! Also, I love the item revamps, and those wearables! <3

I absolutely adore her. The artist has done beautiful work here. I can't wait to collect the wearables.
the colors are so pleasing. the artist who did this is one of my favorites, especially because of their great sense for colors. she looks great. her wing looks a little wonky (but wings are really effing hard to draw) but everything else is lovely.

Everyone's entitled to their <i> own </i> personal opinion. However, that doesn't mean some people (I'm not pointing any fingers.) doesn't have to be down-right rude or snotty about it...
Now, with that being said. I think I'm...in between when it comes to this revamp. I don't overly dislike it nor do I overly like it. But those revamp on the items are very beautiful :)! I especially love the dress. I hope she calls on me more so I can obtain those beautiful items :)!!

WOAH this threw me off, because I always imagined the Oracle more like a young girl based on how she looked. This makes a lot more sense though. I love that she has a definitive tone and personality now. It will take a little getting used to, but I think it's successful <3 The items look great too.

Personally, I think she looks wonderful, and very much like a wise Oracle should. It just amazes me how many Subetans have to complain and howl about every revamp. This one is terrific, and I do agree we need that hair!
Wowie zowie I'm in loooove with this revamp! Everything is so lovely, and I'm definitely going to be using that cloak more often now!

Dayum, this was a bunch of revamps I've been waiting for a while. It's good to shift away from the older anime-style art imo.
I love her revamp! It's a unique look, but somehow I think she looks pretty. Plus that sad look seems so appropriate for an oracle. Good job on the items too!

Thank you, artist, for not making her have enormous tits like a bunch of the other female NPCs. I really like her revamp a lot, and think her character design is very unique.
THIS CHICK HAS TEA WITH THE WIZARD AND MAKES SURE MALERIA AND SHINWA DON'T START A CAT FIGHT, SO SHE HAD BETTER LOOK THE PART AND NOW SHE DOES.

It makes me sad that people are deeming her "ugly" because of her nose being wide, etc. I mean it's one thing to not consider her attractive, but ugly? That's kind of harsh... The art looks really nice to me, though, and I think she looks pretty good. I don't think she looks as old as others are calling her, but I guess the shadows + gray hair could make her look that way to some? Either way I think it's nice.
My favorite part of the revamps is that dress, though. ;o; Not sure I'd be any good at using those colors together, but the style of it is killing meeee.

I LOVE this revamp, AND I love the revamped items. So soft and lovely! :D Her eyes are a little odd, but I think that is mostly the fact that they are grey? I still love them though, and her cute nose! :D

I. CAN'T. EVEN.!!!! I am still new so I am not used to revamps, and they get me SOOOO excited because we get to keep our old items and they just update! This is all sooooo great looking! The Oracle Accessories are one of the first thing I bought in Subeta (is gold obsessed) and seeing how gorgeous they are now, gawwwwwshhhh <3 I do tend to prefer a manga/anime look esthetically speaking, this is what drawn me here, but I don't think the new art is a mega huge departure from it and I like it anyways!! And to whoever makes the art and releases (@Amber ?) WE NEED ORACLE HAIR AND EYES OMG! I can't get enough grey!!!!!! I prefered the cloak when the gem was not pink, like in the old art... And also the gold pieces that hold her hair were bigger. But I want them anyways!!!!!!

Honestly, she looks great! She has so much more personality in her face now instead of the dead-eyed anime look she had before. Making all these characters look distinct from each other just goes to show how far the artists have come! (Beyond that, I'm definitely on #teamcutenose)

If I had to complain about anything it would be the eyes. Not they looked better before, they definitely didn't, but I think it was less startling because it was a poorly done anime style. I can't tell if they're supposed to be gray/white with dark gray pupils or like shiny pearls. I really don't think it's an issue either way though. The revamp is terrific.

Not sure I'm a fan. She doesn't really look all regal/mystical like I'd expect, my first impression was that she reminds me of a confused old lady :c

I really love how the characters are becoming diverse, esp when they're from different parts of Subeta, because that's basically how the real world works. People from different countries have different features, and that's wonderful. They actually look like they have personalities now (except Gollum... her little devil eyes freak me out... asking for knives all the time)

An NPC with grey hair and looks old??? Scandalous!! Honestly, tho, I love the new look! Makes us older players feel better!
The anime-style eyes in that style of face kind of weirds me out, but it's preferable to the original design regardless.
Loving the new look! IMO the site characters that look the least anime tend to look the best, like Esther.
I think the only complaint I have is that with the update the prices for the items seem to have shot up sky-high.

The new face is not to my taste, but I'd say that's more due to personal preference than the quality of the art. The redraw is sooooo much better than the old! I'm also thrilled with the revamp of the Oracle Accessories, in particular. Gorgeous.

Super sad to see people opposed to her nose or, heaven forbid, the fact that she might look fatter or older. Because gee golly every NPC must be thin, young and conform to society's perfect facial structure even though that creates a totally unrealistic (not to mention boring) cast of characters.

The oracle item revamps are amazing. I never looked at the original Oracle artwork as Anime. To me it was a pretty picture of the original subeta to enjoy while it was here. The original Oracle and original Cynthia artwork were my favorites on the entire site. I mean no disrespect at all thank you kindly. Absolutely revamp anything on the site the way the staff wants it to be ^_^.

The Oracle and her items were in desperate need of a revamp, but this was even better than I accepted. The items and the Oracle herself are so gorgeous now!

Thank you artists! All the items look so pretty, and I really like this art style better than the old, cartoon-y one. I never liked the Oracle much before because the art looked so dated, but she's looking great now. :D

Love the revamp. It's not really in the spirit of the original, but I think Subeta has enough bland animu teenage-appearing NPCs already. And I love the revamped items.

To me she looks very wise, regal, and someone that we should respect. To be honest her old look didn't scream "the wise oracle" it screamed "I am a child in need of help." I think the revamp is great!
Why does each character on subeta have to be "beautiful", perfect, young, etc.? That's boring and lame.
I had hoped the site would consider doing more with the Oracle. The revamp will take some time to get use to. After all she has been the same sweet character all this time and I really, really liked that quality about her. Everything changes and we have to get use to it whether we like it or not. Congrats to the artist who drew the new version. You did a great job on it and I'll get use to it in time ^_^.

There are so many things about her face that bother me. :

how could a Cherry Oracle Beanbag Chair already exist? It's obviously NOT a new item, judging by the fact the price in user shops is quite low......
I like this revamp, I love that the site is getting away from the bizzare generic anime characters and creating NPCs with personality.
im willing to bet the only reason she looked young before was because of the 2007-esque knock off anime art style. literally. she looked like she was a ten year old in their first home made cosplay before this revamp, my art was the same way, way back when my art was in the same style. you could draw a 40 year old man and they'd look ten.

I think she looks fantastic! She has a great blend between mature and youthfulness in her face, she definitely was in need of a revamp.

Question about the wearable redraws, are the Subeautiques going to get more love? Or just Scared Lands items this month? I've been buying a lot of SubQs lately, and I miss the redraws.

I wouldn't call it rejuvenated, and it was kinda awkward when I first saw it. But, while she looks like a different NPC, I like the wise old woman vibe in the revamp. Kudos to the artist!

Well,it's better than a lot of the recent NPC revamps, but her eyes are so flat and dead she looks like she's in a coma. Is there a way to liven them up a bit?

She looks beautiful :) I love how soft and open her face looks. I'm also crossing my fingers that the rest of her items are unretired ^_^ The Oracle Short Sword has been on my wishlist for awhile!

Yuck!!! Yes Oracle needed a revamp but turning her into THAT?!? She looks terrible!!! No offense to the artist, as the art itself is quite good; but honestly...*mourns the loss of Oracle* :/

Pretty lovely revamp, though something about her face bothers me - it seems a little flat, I think, and the hugeness of her eyes is kind of throwing me off haha, she barely has any sclera visible. Other than that, though, I like this a lot! The shading and overall art quality is much nicer, her nose is pretty cute, and I REALLY love the new design of her dress, it suits her much better and is very pretty!

I thought she looked better before, but the art is beautifully done. And wow a lot of her items are really expencive now. Does the

I love this revamp. She does look more like a wise Oracle. The eyebrows could be changed to look less worrisome, but overall, this is nice.
The revamps look amazing! I'm glad that I was able to buy the dress for 16k, the wings for 12k and the cape for 14. The prices jumped up very fast!
The new dress is beautiful. I thought it was ugly previously. She looks better, more real, though older--she's wise, after all.
@lull Now that you said it, she does seem sad or worried, not kind of peaceful or passive or happy as you'd expect. Now she's just going to remind me of my Monster High Rochelle dolls, no matter what they do with her, they always give her worried eyebrows, which make her look upset or worried.
She's pretty! Something about the face bothers me, I guess it looks either too flat or the eyes are too dead, maybe. But she looks a lot better than some!
