The Oracle - Revamps!
I woke up this morning feeling rather rejuvenated...I'm not quite sure what has come over me! Maybe it was that new antique coffee set I was drinking from when visiting with Allard...small luxuries of the Subetan World, they do pack a punch! I decided a few of my items needed a makeover too, and bring you the following:
There have been some additions to the beanbag chair set, what with all these new colors I've seen around. Enjoy! And if I need you for one of my quests, I'll be sure to call on you!

The new face is not to my taste, but I'd say that's more due to personal preference than the quality of the art. The redraw is sooooo much better than the old! I'm also thrilled with the revamp of the Oracle Accessories, in particular. Gorgeous.
thank you for not making the eyebrows show through the hair! i absolutely dislike that choice because it's way too anime-esque and we can understand the expression just fine without it. nothing against the artist or anything c: just my preference!
and lol, there are like 6-7 people who voiced their dislike for the revamp and 30+ people saying "wow all the people who don't like it..." etc. you don't need to do that. your opinion that it's good is the majority and people are allowed to have a preference that button noses look better. they just prefer it. no need to take it personally.

She has tea with the Wizard, ffs. She isn't supposed to look young.
Super sad to see people opposed to her nose or, heaven forbid, the fact that she might look fatter or older. Because gee golly every NPC must be thin, young and conform to society's perfect facial structure even though that creates a totally unrealistic (not to mention boring) cast of characters.

The oracle item revamps are amazing. I never looked at the original Oracle artwork as Anime. To me it was a pretty picture of the original subeta to enjoy while it was here. The original Oracle and original Cynthia artwork were my favorites on the entire site. I mean no disrespect at all thank you kindly. Absolutely revamp anything on the site the way the staff wants it to be ^_^.
Looks much more refined. Love it! The artist did a great job. It's interesting to see new perspectives on characters.
I think she looks beautiful! Heaven forbid we don't have yet another character with perfectly proportioned features. And I personally think her big nose is adorable. boops
She's very cute! I love the new dress. The revamp I want the most is probably Shinwa though o:.
How hard is it to accept that there are different opinions? You guys still think you can change the fact by complaining enough?

0_o Really not getting what's wrong with the new art for her...reading through these comments almost gives me flashbacks to Maleria's revamp.
I mean...I dunno about all of you guys and gals but I kind of like not having the same cookie cutter former anime style for all of the NPC's facial features and body types.
The newer style makes them more unique and enjoyable as site characters IMO.
Echoing the people saying that she just didn't look quite...oracle-y before and looked more like a little kid playing dress up in the real Oracle's outfit. In my eyes, an Oracle is supposed to look wise...and this one looks mature, saddened by the burden of her job, but still hopeful that us Subetans will do the right thing and help her keep tabs on the Goddesses.
Both versions of her art are good for the time and stage of life of the site that they were made in...in six or seven years, we'll probably be petitioning for another revamp on her anyway given the pace that the site art is improving. xD

All the folks who think the prior version was superior and the new one is ugly should probably consume a little less anime. God forbid a character have personality and defining human features; cookie-cutter "How To Draw Manga" 10 year-old girl look is the only way someone can be attractive, clearly.

The Oracle and her items were in desperate need of a revamp, but this was even better than I accepted. The items and the Oracle herself are so gorgeous now!
didn't we go through this "her nose it too big!!!" stuff with the maleria revamp? ;-; i think she's adorable. thank you for the revamp.

I do hope Shinwa gets one this month too, since everything seems to be focused on the Sacred Lands at the moment. She needs one almost as badly as The Oracle did.

Thank you artists! All the items look so pretty, and I really like this art style better than the old, cartoon-y one. I never liked the Oracle much before because the art looked so dated, but she's looking great now. :D
IDK why people are bothered by her nose tbh. I know a lot of ladies with round noses, and they're all beautiful. ^-^

Wow fabulous revamp. I find it funny all of the people saying her nose is too wide or her mouth is, or her eyebrows are too thick. I'm pretty sure we are looking at a mixed-race person here. So basically she isn't white enough?

Love the revamp. It's not really in the spirit of the original, but I think Subeta has enough bland animu teenage-appearing NPCs already. And I love the revamped items.
I wish we could get a teeny tiny increase on chances to get a quest from her, though. I've only gotten 9 in the time I've played here!

Wow, the oracle looks a lot better now! I like that now she looks older just suits her, plus she's showing a lot more personality compared to the old one. :)

Why does each character on subeta have to be "beautiful", perfect, young, etc.? That's boring and lame.
I had hoped the site would consider doing more with the Oracle. The revamp will take some time to get use to. After all she has been the same sweet character all this time and I really, really liked that quality about her. Everything changes and we have to get use to it whether we like it or not. Congrats to the artist who drew the new version. You did a great job on it and I'll get use to it in time ^_^.
Yes! I knew keeping some of the old Oracle items would pay off. The revamps are all so lovely.
Actually really digging her Revamp, i like how she has a broader nose, its pretty rare characters with that. :O
Don't like her face at all :( She doesn't look older to me, just... uglier. Her eyes are pretty, but the eyebrows and mouth are too wide, and... don't get me started on the nose -X-;
That said, her dress, hair, staff, and items all look beautiful. So yeah, the quality of the art has much improved. I just wish she had a better face.

There are so many things about her face that bother me. :

Only thing I don't like about her revamp is her face...not sure I like it that much. It's just...odd
Never mind. Not sure I like the replacement of the Graveyard, Dark Matter, and Bloodred beanbags :(
It seems like subeta is trying to branch away from a sort of cartoony style.

how could a Cherry Oracle Beanbag Chair already exist? It's obviously NOT a new item, judging by the fact the price in user shops is quite low......
I like this revamp, I love that the site is getting away from the bizzare generic anime characters and creating NPCs with personality.
