WTAF?? Restocked 52 minutes ago. That is ridiculous. An hour of my life wasted f5ing. That's torture. If you're going to make the items so freaking hard to get anyway, don't make us wait a ** hour to try. /pissed

I saw items just a few moments ago RSing for the first time since the event begun, and I stared stupidly at the screen for about two seconds at a loss as to what I should do LOL

After three days of refreshing an empty shop several times a day, I still got a little thrill of excitment at actually seeing an item there, even as it ended up being sold out a second or two later.
Sometimes my internet is slow as molasses; other times it is reasonably fast. All in all, I love restocking and this holiday is my favorite since the holiday shop was destroyed.
That said, I have been on only sporadically since yesterday. For an hour I can be diligent, then I'm off doing life for a few hours, checking in while waiting for dinner to bake, etc. I don't have time to stalk the shop every second.
With that mix of dedication and internet speed I've seen a number of restocks. Got one rare item and several normal/common ones from this year and years past.I've missed a million more than I've grabbed, but such is the nature of the beast and that's part of the fun for me.
My only real concern is the restock times. I've seen a lot of 7-8 min, a few 4-5, several 12-15, and two 28-29 minute ones (once with 1000+ users online, once with about 550). Now, my sample size is random since I've been on at various times yesterday and this morning, but I can sympathize with the users who are getting frustrated with the longer restock times, especially given that the shop is literally emptying as fast as tvs sold out on amazon prime day. If that maxed out around 15, I think it'd be easier for many people to cope. No one wants to waste half an hour of their time waiting for one very small chance to maybe snatch something.
The good news is some items are starting to linger for a few seconds longer, so at least a few more of you might wind up getting lucky! :) I expect that trend to continue (though obviously rarer items will still be harder to grab).

As someone who still misses the holiday shop I have to say that buying something from the Freyalise trading Co is getting rather frustrating this year... I mean, I waited for about 25 minutes before the stock actually restocked and everything was gone in the blink of an eye. Sorry, I don't mind refreshing from time to time as I work or do other stuff, but doing that compulsively as I stare at the empty shop is a lot less fun...
As someone who is used to set restock windows on other sites, Subeta's restocking is just not for me (I used to love vending holiday items though, since I could actually get some of this stuff then). But I think it's fine to have variety since most events have unlimited supply of items, and some users like competetive restocking.
It kinda reminds me of restock wars, having to be so fast and patient (and make other people sad) to grab anything, especially with my slow internet and old computer. I LOVE IT. is a mad restocker

I have to reboot it at least three times a day). You´ll have to work with what you get. What your computer lacks in speed you have to compensate with dedication, effort and time. There´s no way around it. Because it is not Subeta´s task to compensate technical, social and/or financial differences between its users. The staff offers games with rules and conditions. At the moment it is a restocking event. You HAVE to be fast. It´s a condition of the game because it´s a sort of competition. The game would loose its purpose otherwise.
And the users play to the best of their abilities. And if those abilities are lacking in a way there are only two options: complaining or getting better.
Therefore all those arguments about slow internet and computers, not wanting so spend a lot of time on the site, personal working schedules and other people being greedy (someone else than you said that) are simply stupid. Sorry to be this brutally honest but that is how life works in general. And the faster Subeta´s users understand that the faster they´ll get what they want.

I have no idea how to get any of this stuff. I can't seem to get the Quests to work for me or vending or restocking obv so I have to say its awesome people are getting it I'm happy for you guys! :)

I've been able to restock several items, but there is no denying that the waiting time is painful.
I have business internet with two computers on it and I have not seen anything! #$%***&^^^ this
Good lord why is there like 25-30 minutes between restocks? last year it was between 5-10! How are we supposed to refresh for that long when we got work and shit to do?
@Sarita_Crouchback Preach it! x.x I get it; restocking things for your own shops. However, it does get tiring--and it drains on your sP severely--when that's what you have to resort to. Longer/more abundant restocks would be amazing. I STILL can't get any of the Satin Fabric Bolts from Clothing Rack (back from week 31)...

For all those users who say buying Freyalise items is easy, it's not. You have fast internet, but if our internet lags or slows down, it is impossible to buy anything. By the time I clicked on an item, it was sold out. This is ridiculous, people are so greedy and a lot of users will completely miss out on this event.
Looks like I'm a bit late to this party but OH MY GOD. PIRATE ITEMS. I love pirate related things but judging from the comments I'll probably not be lucky enough to snag much for myself. :I
@Minshasa Thanks ^_^ I suppose they could even have a shop like this still open for the restockers, just with fewer/less frequent restocks or only certain items or something. I dunno. I know you can't ever make EVERYONE happy. But there is a better way than this to make MORE people happy. :)
I actually saw items in there and couldn't understand why I wasn't getting them when I clicked, and then like an eejit, I realized I was middle-clicking them.
In 2 days I have only been able to get 1 item. ONE. And it wasn't even something I wanted, I think it was some parrot thing. Not everyone has the time, patience or energy to do nothing but sit at the computer hitting the refresh key constantly over & over for hours on end 24/7. Giving up and going to watch a movie instead.

That's all well and good, but it does jack all for those of us who can't spend hours at a time stalking one shop and/or have anything less than blitzkrieg Internet. Refresh "4-5 times per minute?" JFC I'm lucky if I can get this connection to load Subeta TWICE per minute. TUMBLR loads faster than Subeta does. And that's when my connection doesn't just decide to crash at random and make me disconnect/reconnect/reload the site THREE MORE TIMES just to get it working again...
Just because it's easy for YOU doesn't mean that it's easy for EVERYONE. Not EVERYONE is working with what you are, and assuming otherwise is just kind of arrogant and condescending tbh.

I was concerned the shop was broken because I wasn't seeing anything on RS XD Near the end of the event there will be more stuff and more RSes so I'm really not worried. I love this holiday because its one of the few RS ones left. I miss Halloween RSing. Sigh. Thank you guys for the gorgeous new stuff! My WL thanks you! :)

But thats just me and I don't actually understand the struggles of running a gaming site so..Im probably spouting nonsense.

Your internet must be much faster than mine. While the items do take (for me) a couple of refreshes to vanish, I'm rarely fast enough to catch anything. I hope it slows down a little in the next few days.

In 2 days of refreshing at the shop I've only seen items in there twice. The 1st time was a couple old items that I already have and aren't worth anything, the 2nd time had a couple new items that disappeared immediately. It would be nice if they would stock more often and have more than 2-3 items that are gone instantly. I'll never be able to get the books and maps for my gallery. This isn't fun at all.
You know what might be cool to consider? Since the pirates are docking to rest and resupply the ship through trade with us, why not make the items come in more relevant ways? Instead of one pirate lady releasing items sporadically through a shop, why not make a trading post and the pirate manning it asks for supplies they would actually need. Gun powder, Canon balls, metal to make them, other weapons, water, food, rum.... I guess that would be like quests, but it makes sense. And they could ask for a different amount of items depending on the item you are asking to trade for. For the pirate foods, it could be a restaurant and the chef could ask for ingredients to cook the dishes you order. Maybe one pirate needs you to prove your worth (play one of the pirate themed games or battle an old pirate themed challenger) before he'll let you have anything... I dunno, just some ideas to make the holiday more interactive and immersing and less frustrating and autobuyer supportive.
This most recent restock, items were there for ~5 refreshes. And not just the old items. I missed two items, but on going back, was still able to grab one of the sharks. They are -not- all disappearing the instant it restocks, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to grab anything.

I have to agree with several people that this is actually extremely irritating. The shop restocks so slowly that even though I may be able to refresh just as it restocks, there are only two or three of each of these items, and I never get any of them. I actually am so disheartened by this event that I have been just not getting on Subeta. I know this sounds childish, but I know that I am not the only one feeling this way about the shops. I kind of wish it was more like the shops that you can buy what you want for a set price but you can only buy something every so long or something. I think it would be better if the shops were left open all through the year so that the items we were unable to get during the event we might have a chance to grab later. Just a thought from a user.
I love restocking and I love this holiday, but the lack of captcha and extended wait times for the shop to restock are taking a lot of the fun out of it. Especially the long restock times - by the time you've put half an hour into refreshing every minute, it's even more annoying if it's a bad restock or you choose the wrong thing. When restock times were shorter, it would just be like "oops maybe next time" and now that next time could be another half an hour away.
I know this sounds really whiny, and I'm sorry for that. Like I said, I really do love this holiday! It's one of my favourites all year (because omg the pirate items just get more and more amazing!).

Oh wow, something else to collect! Two days solid and haven't seen anything in there! Whats the point in having a shop if it isn't restocking! Now I know why Carl's always drunk! Fed up of waiting I expect!
Well, nevermind. Last year was a pain to get some items, this year... Nope, I think I give up and do something else instead, the restocking times are just plain awful. :/

RSing anything from this shop is pretty hard, can Carl get in on the action? Have gotten some new items from Maleria, but the one drunken pirate to quest with has yet to procure the goods.

Finally got one! Item not found: a pirates guide to swashing buckles and bucaneering cackles manically I swear I have been stalking the shop all day for this moment to arrive. X_X
My luck at restocking or getting new items is already bad to atrocious for the main shops so a shop that restocks like any of the main shops but is open only 10 days... I did manage to grab an item but knowing my luck, that might just be the only one. :-(

I see that the recent changes in restocking has made this shop RS every 10-15 mins or so.

I have hit the shop twice when it says Restocked Now...nothing there, nada, goose egg. So far totally unimpressed.
Subeta took away SBQ restocking and holiday shop restocking for every other holiday; I for one am glad they let us have the Freyalise shop as it is. Thank you for keeping this holiday as it is!

Well, at least I finally got a Glaciating Pylonic out of the whopping 3 (and no dark potions) in the Apocalyptic Apothecary after waiting for 17 mins, and this shop still hasn't stocked for 20 mins and counting.

In previous years the shop would restock every three minutes or so which was fast-paced and addictive, now it's taking as long as 20 minutes. It's so boring to hit F5 for nearly half an hour. Could it be sped up a little? :c
I don't understand how so many people are restocking a ton from there already...I haven't seen ANYTHING. I refresh constantly and even when it says restocked now, there's nothing there!

Does anyone know which vending machine has the best results for getting the newer items? Answers are appreciated, thank you :) I'm just not having luck restocking or with quests.
You guys rock for taking the user base's concerns into consideration. Best of both worlds we get our accents and people don't feel the need to just skip reading them! (I never minded the accents but I have read one too many threads on the recent stuttering incident) I very much like this way of handling things and just had to take a moment to say thanks for the effort and way of fixing it for everyone! (also the way you guys rewrote it was wonderful and hilarious to read for some reason) Maybe I'm just overtired but that was great

I wanted to build up my token hoard before I started vending again but I'll deal because i got 6 pirate items from it which is 6X more than what i've seen in the shop.

No actually if you pay attention the shop rses before it actually gives the restocked now message and because of the limited amount of time the shop is open there are usually A LOT of people in there rsing so therefore the first few days its hard to catch things in there. It's got nothing to do with auto refreshers and we don't need an annoying captcha

Okay, I just vended some at Ocean Depths and got three of the new items, so they are at least vending.
So I'm vending at OD in the hopes of getting something from the shop I want (haven't gotten anything yet) and I JUST VENDING A RIPTIDE?! LMAO

Guys -- if you aren't a restocker don't worry too much. Carl will likely be doing something like he did last year where he gave away some of these items as prizes for his quests. This is only the first day! Other pirate-y goodness will come about other ways. <3

Ugh. I don't know why I thought this was going to be a shop with higher fixed prices. This is going to be frustrating trying to get everything I want especially since I won't see the wishlist box to help me out. :(

UGH, I am usually not one for sour grapes, but dadburn it! I want everything readable, but it seems to be one of those types of events where the people with the better computers and better internet and faster fingers are gonna nab everything. Everything is sold out when I click on it.

I've been having great luck with the shop. I managed to grab one of those new sharks and a pirate coat worth a couple of million. THANKS, GUYS!
Wish quest givers would not ask for pirate stuff. I mean they are only around for 10 days and so much will be unbuyable or ridiculously expensive.
It just restocked, saw 5 or 6 items, including Thresher Shark and Mimic Kraken. So it's definitely stocking.
Even when it says restocked now there's nothing there. I've only seen 1 item once and it was an old sticker I already have a couple of.

I just got the wooden ledger from Maleria. So I would say by doing most any of the quests you have some kind of chance of getting something from the shop because they are stocked as normal shops.
Wonderful items if you can get them - shop doesn't restock for 15 mins and then you blink and the rs has gone! :/
It's impossible to get anything :( I refreshed over and over for 10 mins and clicked as soon as it restocked but was sold out :(

I'd love it if Carl gave some of these out as prizes, or if the OD would give them out when you vended there. I was really, really hoping the RS mess would be fixed this year, but I guess not.

I hope they're monitoring closely for people cheating through certain means from Neopets, this shop is definitely going to bring them out of the woodwork.
