O.K., this is the first revamp in a while that I've found no faults with whatsoever. I love the new design! The facial expression especially. It looks so badass!! XD
It is chill. <3 Im glad everyone likes it. Im neutral, charlies were never my thing.
i wish that there could have been a vote on the last revamp, the fishbeak experiment, #6789. It sucked that all the subtleties of its expression were totally sucked out and there was nothing we could do about it lol. ok, im getting kinda salty about it now. oops. sorry!

I love that expression.. he looks like a little evil beast now.. really love it.. a lot better than the old one.. but I also think the wings look a bit of.. the dont look like wings.. to thick and fleshy somehow.
i absolutely love this revamp.. would very likely get one of these if the revamp goes through.

I prefer the new one, but I like the wider eyes on the old one. The expression on the new one is great, but maybe the cheeky squint could be just a tiny bit less emphasised?

They have always reminded me of the evil rat from NIMH and the Great Mouse Detective animated movies. Both gave me nightmares as a kid. I'm never getting a Charlie. But the old one looks less nightmarish so I voted for him.
my only criticism is that the body looks too thin for the head, other than that the new one looks p spot on!
I've hada soft spot for Charlies for a while..my first angelic pet was an angelic charlie and I still love him to bits. I'd like to see him get a slight revamp though. And I do love this version
I love that he looks so much more evil and suspicious, but something about not being able to see the left arm and wing feel off. Like only the torso is turned to the side but not head or legs.
I like this direction a lot. The only thing bothering me is the (our) left leg. The lack of visible scar and position throw me off. Overall, I love it though. Dat grin. @User not found: _@

Ohhhh, love the sneaky grin! I agree with other comments that the wings are the weakest part of the image right now. They look a bit... Fleshy somehow?

Its face is fantastic, but the wings could use some work, they just don't look like wings at all
The pose, anatomy, and art are a lot better in the revamp, however I voted for the old version because the shading makes the colours look a little muddy (especially in the chest area). I think this could be solved by turning the saturation up just a smidge, or by using slightly more red toned shadows.
I'm so excited for my Charlie to finally be getting the revamp he deserves. I agree the wings could use a bit of a tweak still, but the rest looks perfect to me!
Overall I quite like the revamp, but there's something about the old one's legs that I like. I think someone mentioned the old ones were chubbier, that might be it.
I really like the whole thing EXCEPT FOR THE WINGS. They look clunky and not shaded like the rest of the body. I wish it had more of a 'proper' demon-type wing. Its current wing structure is kind of...unstructured.
I liked how chubby they used to be, but other than that I'm really digging the revamp personally!

Dat expression. The wings need a bit of works, but the expression is absolutely perfect for how the Charlie's been described in various things around the site.

I love the revamp, besides the wings. They're so fat and useless. I guess if it's characteristic of the pet, then so be it, but I'd like to see more...usefulness? to them. I for one kind of like the big-headedness others have mentioned. And the sneakiness to him is adorable.
I like the expression; I would just make the body a little bit bigger in relation to the head.
New one's def better in terms of expression and shading. I'm wishing the wings looked a little more interesting or had some other detail to them that made them look like actual wings of some kind. And with the thinned down legs, it kind of makes the head look too large for the body. Plus with the hard line between the head and shoulder, and essentially no neck, it looks like someone just picked up a random head and put it on the wrong body. Otherwise, I think it's definitely an improvement.

kudos on the pose though. i feel like they're an extremely hard animal to pose and draw. i wouldn't be able to execute it unless i put it on all fours.

The shading looks kind of sloppy and the pose looks awkward. i love the face and the paws, though.
This revamp makes Charlie go way up in my estimation. I would never have considered them as a pet I might put on my profile. Now, perhaps. Love the expression and the ears!
I'm speaking from the sidelines of not having a Charlie, but I think the revamp is really cute, I love the paws. Agreeing with the wing thing, though. I'm not an artist, however, so I can't really pinpoint exactly what it is about them? But good job to the artist!
AH I noticed what it is about the wings. The shine is in a weird spot and the lines are uneven. I think if the wing that we see is evened out (black line wise) it might look less blobby.

- the head, left shoulder, and chest look overall positioned very unnaturally against each other in my opinion, i tried to take a similar pose and it was quite uncomfortable.
- the pose overall looks poorly balanced compared to the old version where the charlie was very clearly resting its weight on its hind legs, making the pose look more natural.
- both the wings and the lower part of the belly look off and need more precision and accuracy in shading, right now they look somewhat sloppy.
i like the new face expression a lot, and paw wringing is a very good touch.

I like the posing and the character of the new one, but I think the wings are too bulbous-looking. They could use some tweaking.

Looks good to me, though I've never been very attached to the Charlie, so I'm not going to miss the old version much either way.
I adore this, the only thing I feel looks a little funny is his shoulders. They seem a little too narrow for that head, but the pose, shading and attitude in this art is A=! He's definitely a little imp-kitty-rodent thing!
I'm really glad that the Charlie is finally getting some attention! I love the new face, and that little rubbing hands together, but the body overall looks like he's very underweight, dangerously so. If the body was bulked out a bit, I would be all for it, but as it stands, all I can see is mangy drowned stray cat.

The new one is great but I am kind of more favorable towards the original... even though I know the new one will win.
Noooo, I just got a Charlie as my third pet specifically because of how I like it looks. I still like the "old" version, looks more cheeky then crazy.
I've always hated the Charlie, so I don't care no matter what XD I'm not taking part in this poll.
Love the new one, but agree the wings need some tweaking and the other scar on the leg/knee area seems to have gone missing, wish that would be brought back. Other than that though, I love it!
I wouldn't say cheeky, looks rather shady to me now. I'm not a fan of the Charlie, but the new art looks better and the pose does give him more character.
I always thought the wings were supposed to be bat wings, but they're so abstracted from that I imagine them closer to a featherless chicken wing now. Which would be cool tbf :0
The facial expression is great and I love how it's wringing its paws together now--great touch! I'd like to echo others and say that the wings really do need to be more defined and shaded better. At the moment they look like pieces of plastic.

I kind of feel like the wings need a little bit more work. They seem to me like the last thing the artist worked on. I liked the vein detail in the original picture. These wings look a bit poofy, swollen almost. Otherwise, great!

This actually looks really nice. Not too much of a change where it's unrecognizable, and it still makes the Charlie look very sly. Those eyes are also pretty nice and shiny...
