@Jessi what about NPCs? Why would some members of a species be more intelligent/developed than others? Have they been blessed with some kind of enchantment?

@Courtesy thats probably why its a good thing to think of things in pokemon terms like if theyre more sapient its kinda like lucario or meowth or whatever other pokemon have talked or are smart enough to fully understand and attempt conversation with their trainers and stuff. theyre more or less like companions than quote unquote pets,
at least thats how i see it :P

Most of the pets are not sentient and many of the ones that are are not/will not really be kept as pets (canonly speaking of course)

I've wondered: Are subeta pets supposed to be sapient?
If so, isn't domesticating them and "breeding" them for traits incredibly fucked up? I mean, I get the idea of inviting monsters or intelligent animals or whatever to live with you and be friends and stuff, but the more intelligent they are the more weird the traditional pet dynamic gets.

Why do I think about this stuff.

I'm really going to love collecting these dolls, especially the Arid. The way I see it, I need 2 sets. One for my wardrobe and 1 for Mariah_Mae's TC. Loved the article and the fact that a group are called 'annoyances' made me laugh. Great work Team, thank you.
