Profile to ProfileArgh don't remind me XD Now they set standard to be permenant it is gonna be soooo late when the sun comes up in the morning. I foresee a LOT of accidents with busses and similar. Not looking forward to it!
For my winter sadds I tend to spend a lot of time with my houseplants. All easy to grow ones like snake plant and peace lily lol. It helps some. I'm already outside most days but I really feel the loss of green things. I do not know how people in deserts deal with itSearchname
Profile to ProfileI can totally see how that might annoy when watching tv lol. I got my hubby a aluminum tree and a color wheel like he had as a kid, cause he is old, and I get all sorts of annoyed at christmas when he puts it on while we're watching something XD But the TV faces it so it reflects funny.
I do not think all black would work for us, cause one of our cats has a white belly lol. It is bad enough on the gray couch. We tend to stick to navy though and that shows enough. We're really a boring bunch colorwise XD I should get more vibrant colors in my lifeSearchname
Profile to ProfileI like that! I want a rainbow light room now XD My youngest bought some LED strip thing that he put around his wwalls and he had a controller to change the lights from red or blue or purple, but it wasn't rainbow. Also I think it does not work anymore XD
AH you found chairs that did not have antimacassars lol I can totally see how they came about and why both my grandmothers alwways had something on the back of everything. Sometimes an antimacassar, sometimes an afghan. I do the same but mine is more an affectation, none of us use any hair product XD I just like the look of it, plus it is handy to have an afghan within reach when it gets cold. Win win ^.^Searchname

I want antimacassars or however you spell that. I have one, but I want lots of them. I was curious about how they got that weird name and looked it up, and apparently mascassar was some sort of hair oil, like pomade, and the antimacassars protected the furniture from staining lol Incidentally, hair oils is also why people in the late 1700s, early 1800s or so had that low backed furniture. Because the wig stuff stained things XD I find that hilariousSearchname
Profile to ProfileI don't want to block the light though XD I am, by force, a morning person and I looovvveee to wake up to the sunlight on my face. It just feels so nice! Like not direct, but diluted through pretty sheers lol.
I got dark navy ones now, and they are pretty enough cause I got satiny ones with embroidered swirls. But I do miss the sheers lol
What, no doilies? I love doilies XD I wish I could tatt lace myself lol, or crochette maybe, however they make them. They're so dainty and pretty and keep the dust down.
I DO have a nice hutch with all the pretty things on it lol. Course there is a growing collection of shot glasses on the top shelf, cause men, but I got my pretty dishes on display like a grandma. Which is fitting, cause they are nanna's dishes XD Bout 100 years old, with the gold rim and filigree, and the rosebud pattern. American Limoge, which is a Limoge knock off brand from the 20s and 30s lol. Think she got em out of a catalog. I find it hilarious that even back then there was some american company looking to copy XD They are pretty though so I use em for holidays
