Searchname![]() Profile to Profile | Not a fan of them myself. We all have refillable ones and a really good filter on the fridge, so that is a huge saving over bottled water. I Hate bottled water lol, like unless it says spring water, they are just using regular tap water, treated just like out of your own sink, and then charging you for it. If you really want purified water get a kettle XD Hubby has an old nikon kicking around with all the bells nd whistles, he used to use it on sites. I could probably scam that from him. It's digital and has all these lens attachments and a bag bigger than my purse, which is not huge, but is not small either XD At work we have samsungs for data collection, and we also take photos with them. Zomg they take amazing shots without anything special. Certainly enough for our purposes. You can zoom in like crazy and it is still clear. I am pretty impressed, but there ain't no way I am paying 500 bucks or a grand or whatever for one XD |
Searchname![]() Profile to Profile | I shall try to! Though my camera is pretty sucky for pictures XD I should get a nice phone with a nice camera but I just can't seem to bring myself to spend money on that. I hate phones! I hate being tethered and never really alone. Often times I will turn it off just to have that feeling XD My mom thought it would bbe a great labor saving device too, but by the time you scraped, rinsed (sometimes soaked) loaded and pushed the thing into the kitchen (it was a VERY small gally kitchen) to hook it up to the sink, you could have easily haad them done lol. At one point she gave up and started doing paper plates and disposable cups lol. I yelled at her for the cups, cause plastic. Not yelled, just told her I would wash all the glasses, please stop destroying our planet lol. I was a bit of a jerk as a teen ^.^ |
Searchname![]() Profile to Profile | rofl yeah that would be wise. I think for the older generation, dishwashers are a status symbol. Like if you lived in suburbia you had a dishwasher. Only those low middle class and poor people did them by hand. I know we got ours when my mom became an RN. She was very proud of it! But we learned to hate it and eventually it broke and she never replaced it XD To be honest, I find dishes the least objectionable of all house chores. Like I don't really hate any of them except cooking, but washing the dishes is kinda...cathartic? Maybe I just like playing in water. 1 more day until we go to the lake :D We are all so excited. Youngest popped his head in my room last night and held up a finger and went "ONE MORE" lol |
Searchname![]() Profile to Profile | You get REALLY good at it real fast when it is your job on the line lemme tell you XD Though anymore I see distance in meters. Like when I am estimating how far away something is, I think in meters sort of thing. I don't keep 60 feet from the car in front of me, I keep about180 meters lol lol lol well she shoulda done a chore chart and given you responsibility XD Though to be fair, my mom did that and we STILL tried to duck having to do them. Gettting out of chores is like a time honored kid tradition! Never crawled out the window though but only because I never thought of it. Right? Dishwashers are a stupid. Far as I am concerned, with scraping, rinsing, loading and unloading it was always less work to just do it by hand XD We just got a newer one cause hubby insisted (the one here when we moved in died, but we have insurance, so, we got a new one) and it is an energy and water saver, but it takes like a hour. How is that more convenient? |
