Lol so is there any way to actually beat him? Not that I'm even trying, none of my pets are really trained enough for battle.
I'm just reminded of the story of the troll under the bridge and the sheep trying to get to the other side. They outwitted the troll by saying there was a bigger sheep coming behind them that he could eat.

Go to your stats tab in the BC and click on it, you will see "forfeit battle" and click on that

Well, if you look in the Items Directory, there are no new items that would be drops, so even if this guy can be beaten, he may not be able to be beaten yet. That or the fifth drop items are old ones, which is possible.
I find this pretty funny nonetheless. Hm, maybe items that do only one sort of damage and nothing else? Gotta put my pet in the resort and wait an hour before I can try, though.

Oh I don't know.., I personally found it hilarious enough to fight him with a tier one pet just to lose, after I realized that none of my weapons, or potions or any of my usual tricks would work against him and forfeited with my battle pet. There might still be a trick to defeating him..., but I'm too amused to care. "Trolololo" :)
In mythology trolls die or turn to stone when they become exposed to suhnlight, if that helps by any chance.

So, with no apparent way to quit a battle, Am I locked out of battling forever? I really don't feel like going thru 400-500 turns so the troll can whittle down my battle pet. I am NOT amused Subeta.
I lol'd. Seems like it's possible to beat him since some people did it, but I dunno if my pet is strong enough to do it. lol

URGGG HELP! so either this challenger is supposed to just be like this or I have been clicking for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages with no result and I am stuck in a battle??? Can someone tell me please how to back out of this so I can get on with my usual daily battles ????

I laughed until I peed a little bit. Wow! How could you make battling any more fun then THIS? Where is my brown shoe polish?
I think this is the first challenger where I actually begged for it to beat the pet du jour... Man that took forever to get beat.
I didn't even want to go past 15 turns and just forfeited. I'll wait to battle him when I have time to do this.
Maybe try not doing anything the whole battle? I'm going to try with my tier 3 pet, but I don't know if she has enough hp and defense to hold out the whole battle.
