Thanks everyone for all the love for the little edit ;w; I don't honestly think the species as a whole should have ears (I just wanted to see how it'd look), it'd be too much of a change. I do like the edit @Spiero made though, more subtle yet the changes make a world of difference =3 It looks so much more relaxed, less stiff, and the eye edit looks tons better n-n
it looks a lot better, but the wing in the back should have stayed the same as the old pose. the way it pokes behind the head makes it look like a third horn.
Gonna have to get used to how these guys look, but FINALLY! Now I can give Dart his Cherry color!

I just hope the special colors don't get too messed up. I picked 'em for the other two Dragarths I have, and I'd hate to have to change their colorations just because I didn't like their new poses/redraws.

Teal and pink are my personal favorites for this revamp/pet species in general :) Prob will consider one of them sometime in the future.
I never understood why this species has paws instead of claws and just thought it had stylish hair on it head to be hipster, but this revamp has made it look adorable and fluffy instead of just out of place~
looks good! have been looking through the species quite a bit lately for my own pets and see there's quite a few who need revamps, so it's exciting to see them roll out every once in a while.

I must admit, I am THE worst about changes and remakings and whatnot, especially when it's about pets, but this one? DUUUDE! Score! Uber job! :heart:
Its great and I like mostly everything about this, BUT....you knew that was coming.... that second wing that's behind him still manages to look like a horn and like, horns on his spine. The way it's positioned, I'm half expecting to have darker scales on the tail as well. The result looks a bit unfinished because of this.
I think they'd look horrible with an ear, personally. I like the revamp. :x The wing takes a minute to look at but once you realize what's going on it's honestly not that distracting.
o_O It never even occurred to me before that they didn't have ears. Now I really wanna run with that. XD I don't think the ears make them look bad really, just too many pointy things in one spot, hard to tell what's ear, horn, wing...

Dragarth is such an odd ball. They look nice, but just plain in comparision of other species, like Lain or Lagirus.

This is a nice revamp but I agree with the Speiro surprised head wingedit, and Aludra's ears and eyes too.
Oh, man, such a fluffy edit. I absolutely love that sheen going across the wing skin; such a little detail, but just perfect.
These look a million times better than the old one! They're so much cuter now! (And I honestly think they'd look even cuter with ears too~)
Comparing it the the old version, the smaller iris and the way the head was moved back kind of makes the revamp look shocked or something. I see this:

I'd probably also fold the wings down just enough so the tip of the far wing doesn't look like a third horn. :P

That looks way better, woah. Still not my thing tbh, but those wings and the fluff look substantially nicer.
there's something off about the butt/hind leg to me. like they're on a different angle or just kinda hanging in the wrong direction.
it kinda reminds me of a taxidermy where the bum is overstuffed and the leg is poking too far out the side because of it.
don't get me wrong, it's good art, i just don't personally care for it. :v

Naw, I like your ear. It's cute and I want to pet it! If anything I'd remove that forehead tuft (or at least shrink it) because that's always bothered me about the Dragarth. XD
But that eye you fixed is great! Bigger and rounder, definite improvement. ^-^

@Frankenchokies Pfft, your adorable ear is where I got the idea from, I just added it in for kicks =w= Honestly I probably made them too big, so in addition to the horns and the wing showing behind the head, it probably makes the poor thing look cluttered on my end.

I really like this revamp, though the eyes are throwing me off. Messed around with it for fun with some suggestions just to see how it looked and decided to post =3 I don't expect anyone to like it, but it was fun to experiment.

Hmmm...there is something about the revamped face I don't prefer. I think it's that the head kinda got rounded out, I think I liked the shape of the old better. And maybe it looks like it's pushing back really hard, like leaning back far? I dunno. I'll wait to see how the spectrum and graveyard ones change before I make too much judgement since those are the ones that matter to me. I like the new shading though!

I love how soft and fluffy they look, but I wish the colored part of the eyes was a bit bigger. Otherwise, no complaints. xD Nice job! (They seriously look SO FREAKING CUDDLY NOW, I WANT TO HUG ONE)
I miss how Spyro-y the old Lilac was, but I'm loving the improvement overall. Precious fluffs~
I love the update. Not sure about the horns, they feel a bit...I dunno what it is. But I love the face, and the paws are a marked improvement. Also look at the glow on the nuclear's eyes! Excellent! <3 I love dragons in general, and these guys make me very happy.
Hmm. So, I really do think that the body has improved tremendously, but something still looks off to me. I think it may be the head or specifically the eyes. I guess they look a little too cartoon-y? I don't know how to describe it.

@kbbob - I always imagined them like velvety covered antler type horns, but...cone shaped. I could just see them scratching up against the furniture with them.

@tinybeasts - different artists draw each pet, this pet was closer to the top of this artists priority list because we didn't have the original .psd any longer and we wanted to be able to release it in aqua, cherry and silver!

Aw, they're cute! Not a huge change, but enough to make the art look more updated and consistent with current quality.
I can't wait to see more pets get some attention like this, there are quite a few still that definitely need some art updates.

For real, though. Hangbutt syndrome is the bane of my life; it's one of those things you can't unsee and it's EVERYWHERE. Skyrim dragons kill me, they really do.

@kbbob - we tried it because I thought the same thing, but they looked not great! We decided to just make the wings a different colour :)
They still have killer hangbutt syndrome, but they're cute. A Cherry one called Cymru or Wales would be a neat pet.
I can't really make out the difference.... still they look good and this way it's better as if they'd look gross though I think
Hmm, as someone who's a big fan of dragarths, i'll have to get used to this change...but I think I like it! The wings feel much better, and I enjoy the prominent cheeks. The expression fits them too.

Nice! Simple and adorable with well done details. ^_^ I especially like the light/shadow play and how you can see some shine on all the wings, except the gold one has EXTRA shine and the nuclear one is glowing (and those glowing eyes <3).
