Updates on Summer Raffle

Thank you for being patient with us while we fixed the Summer Raffle’s issue with making scrolls. For those of you unaware, when you tried to make a scroll it wouldn’t count towards your list.
Scrolls and training should be working from here on out as far as tracking goes. We’ve cleared scrolls and training from peoples lists that were on between midnight and the time of this post; so people later in the day might have to make a scroll or train their pet.
We’ve also updated the “plant a seed” task, where it counts if you plant a seed OR water your plant!
Remember that raffles are a risk. We understand not every task will be quick or cheap, but we made sure the prizes are worth it. You’ll have to decide if you want to spend the sP at a chance for cash shop credits, random cash shop items, referral points, and random pawn shop custom wearables we’ve removed from the shop.
Just another reminder that you have to check your task list before doing dailies, etc. For things like training or bonding with minions, you need to start a fresh training session (and wait for your pet to get out) or start bonding with a new minion so that the tasks track. This is why visiting the bathhouse first and then your task list won’t count towards taking a dip in the pool. It might take a few minutes for a task to update to being checked off on your list, too. Keep that in mind!
Once you’ve completed all 10 tasks for the day, make sure to hit the ‘enter’ button to enter the raffle! :)

Bit confused here, so for example does this mean I need to complete all my tasks before say going to the bath house for it to count? What if I can't complete all tasks,does that mean nothing will count once I've started doing tasks?
@Cherri
I actually did the baking on my task list but I agree with you. I didn't like having to spend so much sp on the baking kit (I had to since one of the ingredients was 600K).

I had to play the bug net catching game on my home computer since I can't play that game on my mobile. But I finished my 10 tasks.
Already entered today!

The training did work on mine, I don't know about everyone else's, but I have the green check next to it. You just had to wait for them to be released from the training in order to count. I think that's what threw people off. because everything else was instant.
I don't think spending millions on baking (having to pay 1 mil at least once is a lot) or anything else is worth the "chance" at random items or points. I don't have the time or willpower to do all quests daily nor have a ton of sp. Unless something is done about the bakery, like Amber stated was planned, I'm out.
Good luck to the participants! ^^

Great, guess I can't enter for today since I didn't click the link on the raffle for the ruffie raffle, and did it before I read the dang news

@bipolarness
you can buy the baking starter kit in the millionaire center for 1 million, it contains the majority of the items you need for baking

is here any other way to get rum extract? :| I refuse to buy it from the one person that has 91 for 1.5 mil and def not paying 45 mil for it. :|
I don't really understand why it can't count tasks you've done already.
Yeah, I visited the Ruffie Raffle because it's almost muscle memory by this point, the first thing I do when pull up the site in the morning.

Training is part of my task but it counted so that's not a problem. My problem with bonding with a NEW minion part. I just started bonding with a new minion but it didn't count towards the task. Maybe it has something to do with not retrocounting but that's frustrating that watering plant counts but you can't bond with the same minion that you're already bonding and has it count. If you can make watering the same as planting a seed, why not make bonding once the same as bonding with a new minion? But whatever, it's not like I can complete all 10 tasks anyways since I dislike battling while I'm actively raising my pet's stats.

I was so excited. And then I was told to play net gain. I like the game. But it can't be played on mobile. So I can't complete my take today. I really wish games were mobile friendly. :/
I'll try again tomorrow.

Bought myself a basket, thanks for the reminder I had forgotten about that.
You don't have to wait for your recipes to actually work out you just have to put everything in the oven. It checked my task before I took the cookies out, so it doesn't matter if you burn something. At least that. :P

Catch 1 bugs at Riverside is not being checked off for me even though I did it... so I guess I can't enter? :(

I must bond with a minion. I've used the link from the list to do that. But still it isn't checked. And I did so 30 minutes ago.

I would like to participate but I play on my iPad and it's asking me to play a game that requires a computer + it's asking me to make a scroll as well which may or may not work

Seen a couple people commenting that scrolls are still on their list (as they were on mine). Now that they're working may want to update the news posts. Some people may not want to try if they're not sure it will work due to prices.For today, however, we’ve cleared them from everyones lists, so no one should have to train or make scrolls for their lists of tasks. So some of you might only have 9 tasks today rather than 10.

At least a lot of them are things that are either fixed cost/input or will vary and thus hopefully not be completely awful (like the Autumn Dragons).

Some of this tasks will be insufferable for anyone getting on towards the end of the day / by the end of the event.
For 1 referral point that's kind of sad
I like the concept it just needs some tweaking... a lot of events that could be great with some tweaks never end up repeated though :c

Guess I will try again tomorrow. I don't own a computer or tablet, only play on mobile. So of course I would get a task for playing Net Gain...a game which cannot be played on a phone. Awesome. le sigh
Don't think I'll be participating with the baking being included. That's too much sp and effort.
Good luck and have fun, everyone!

For anyone who has Fantine:
Millionaire Center - All Year section:
1,000,000 sP
Open Option: Provides all ingredients to make the first recipe along with a few goodies that will come in handy to make other items down the line at Fantine's Bakery
Ideally, the task would be to "attempt" to bake something at the bakery, but since it's succeed - this is likely the cheapest option as the price doesn't change, you can buy pretty frequently, and with luck it won't take more than 1 or 2 attempts to be successful. Granted, if you have bad luck, you could end up having to spend a lot to bake successfully, but maybe staff will make it "attempt" rather than succeed, like they did for the plant/seed issue.

I'm just sad that the Fantine items have gone soaring again :( I was actually interested in leveling up there now that there were more basic ingredients released, but I see I'll have to drop any raffle day which has fantine as a challenge probably.
Maybe ingredients might be released to the DC again?

I'm really not starting a huge argument. I was responding to people who responded to me - including Amber. It's late and I'm working super hard not to get snarky because I've had an extremely long day, so I do apologize if anything comes off terse (I'm really not meaning it that way), but to have staff answer everyone who brought up that issue in the same way and act like it's no big deal while also pushing the fact that they want everyone to participate more to increase the number of prizes is counter-productive to their goal it seems to me.
Sure, you don't have to participate, but that is kind of the point of having a site-wide event whose prizes hinge on mass participation. And as mentioned, a lot of people don't have a basic or cheap pet - just because you have 3 doesn't mean we all do.

@Reaper
Most users aka yes most users have a pet that is a basic color where it would only take like around 100k or less to buy an elixir lol. Even I have 3 basic pets and I absolutely adore the special colors.
And again, this seems like a trivial issue that needs to cause such an outburst. If the user doesn't want to complete that task, then just skip that day's tasks. You can argue about chance, but that's the keyword, chance. Not everyone is going to get a prize and I have a feeling quite a few people are just entering for the forum title or for fun.

Yep, if I had an open pet slot or felt like spending 2k csc on one, or had 40m to spare for one (more for folks who've already bought several from the mil center). As was mentioned on the previous comments section initially - not everyone has an open spot for an extra pet and a lot of folks have already spent tens of millions to get their pet the color/species/stat level they want. So - people who don't have a space for an adopted pet and don't have a pet they can safely zap without having to spend a small fortune fixing if something goes wrong have a pretty big problem with that particular task.
Also - I'm not sure who "most users" are, because the vast majority of people I know do not have a spare pet for zapping that is basic.

Wait, is this all about the zapping task? Ngl you could just adopt a pet and use that as your guinea pig for the rest of the event. I really don't see the point in flooding the comments section with a pretty trivial argument and most users have a pretty basic pet that they can just use as their guinea pig.

@Masquerade
I'm aware of that - however this is supposed to encourage participation, and a fair number of people in comments have already said they will not participate if they're required to zap a pet.
Staff says the more participants, the more total number of prizes will go out. That hinges on people participating. If a task alienates people from participating, then that number doesn't increase. Also, the potential prizes do not match the cost. Do you routinely enter raffles where a single ticket is $20 and the prize is worth $1? I'm going to assume you don't. You're entering a raffle for a chance to win a prize that is a higher value than what you paid for a ticket - that makes the reward worth the risk. If the reward is worth a fraction of the risk, there's no point to enter.

Aww shit haha, already missed the first day to enter the raffle... When i opened my browser it took me immediately to the bathouse pools so i wouldn't forget doing those xD ah well, let's turn that off and enter tomorrow :p

Thank you for fixing the scroll thing, I spent a lot making a scroll worth my time only to not have it count in an error.

@Reaper it's a raffle, most raffles I've entered = me handing over real money for a ticket that doesn't net me anything. It's a game of chance and it's not compulsory.
