Oh man I wish I had checked this post sooner! I haven't seen this pet in SO LONG since I adopted him out. So good to see him not only win the spotlight, but still have that overlay. ;v; Congrats!

The custom overlay didn't replace the pet's image because it's not a Custom Darkmatter Paralix.

You can code overlays to appear on profiles! c: Custom overlays appearing elsewhere (like in the news post) is a separate feature. (I also just realized the overlay and the art work have a similar pose, which is super cute.)
