I literally went "WHOA" out loud :O You guys have been going a bit apeshit with the art quality lately. ANDILOVEIT

Too bad the item Iimage is just another camera and not the lovely creature/statue. The creature is creepy in a perfect way.

This is awesome. _ I would kill for a Reaper Leviathan bg from Subnautica though, if anyone were to make one. ;D

you obviously haven't googled "creatures from the deepest part of the ocean"
that's why I hate the ocean and most creatures...

Look at that big lady!
With her pretty teeth! Shame she seemed to mistake that pod for a tasty shrimp though, must have been a disappointing discovery.

Found it- it’s The Temple, written in 1920. Full text is probably free online for anyone who wants to read it.

@Laurey I can’t remember the title, but it might be a reference to the Lovecraft story where a U-boat is sunk and the captain gradually goes crazier the deeper the craft drifts down. It comes to rest at the bottom of a deep sea rift at the foot of an ancient city of the Old Ones. The insane cap’n feels called to his destiny by voices in his head.

So spoopy omg, I really really wish the item art was creepfish statue I'd buy it so fast qAq!!
This is creepy!
Just think of what's in the ocean that we have not discovered yet. There are creatures in the depths that humans cannot go.

Oh no, no no no!
Those fish are freaking terrifying, I have to suppress the urge to scream every time I see a picture! Especially since I found out most of them are about 7 feet long. Talk about nightmare fuel

Is this a reference to something specific, or just to go with the theme?
Either way, it's pretty cool and creepy ~
