New Shop: Paw Naturel
Right now she has an excellent range of canine and feline food, as well as leashes and beds and more, but she's intending to add more stock to the shop throughout the year! So roll up, bring your pets, and be prepared to spoil them rotten!

Yay for what's being said for about what to expect this month (I'M FIZZING WITH EXCITEMENT!!). But also holy mahar, best NPC ever. The design is simply GORGEOUS and coupled with the shop - best idea ever- this is just amazing. LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS.
wow wow wow. First, that NPC is GORGEOUS. Can I look as good as she does? :O
And I love the idea. I love to see all of the pets get some love and the collar made me super happy thinking of having one for each kind of pet someday. :) :)

@Strange @DireRabbit I can reply to this now that our September theme is out! We’re going to try to bring attention to those less common types of animals we have (horses, poison frogs, etc). I personally want to see dragon things (are they like lizards? OR SOMETHING ELSE). There’s also potential to bring attention to the pets like harvester for Morostide or whatever.

On the debate of pet "diets," I've always seen the pets on Subeta being much like the Animals/animals in Wicked. You have your "animals" which are your regular animals and then your "Animals," which are more evolved, basically to the same level of sentience and intelligence as humans. So, a "feli" may eat a "wyllop" just like a cat would eat a mouse, and an evolved "Feli" may eat a "wyllop," too, in theory...but a Feli would doubtfully eat another creature of the same intelligence. And similarly, a "tigrean" may eat a "neela," and a "Tigrean" may even eat a "neela," too, but while a Tigrean may not eat an evolved Neela, a wild, unevolved tigrean may. Just like a tiger would eat you if you came across it in the wild.***
That's mostly just my headcanon, though/my personal views on how it all might work.
But in the specific case of this store, it's pretty assumed that none of the meat-based products were made out of intelligent, sentient beings nor are those products intended for intelligent, sentient beings. So far, it's been implied that everything is for domesticated pets.

Just dropping by to say that Clementine is gorgeous ! I adore her hair and her dress, and the overall yellow/brown sunflower theme. Definitely one of those NPCs that make me go 'yup, I'd like to get to know them as a person' (though if I saw someone who was such an embodiment of the gentler side of the summer sun irl I'd probably just go dumb on the spot).

@Strange I was feeling this too, and the potential makes me excited, my favorite pet is the Dillema, and and like Harvesters I would love some care-centric items for them so we have a better grasp of what they're like around the house and how you would care for one c:

But really... although I'm loving this "pet centric vibe" we have going on, I can't help but wonder: will pets not that similar to real life pets get some love too, eventually? Because I personally like the ones that look like wild animals or fantastic creatures the most, and I can't help but feel they were left out from all this love :(

omg I LOVE this new shop and the shopkeeper is SO cute!! Tbh I was kinda anxious about checking the comments in case there were some like with the release of Shanti. Instead it was just people upset about virtual animals eating other virtual animals. Sigh. I mean, many people came to Subeta from Neopets and there are tons of items on there like Blumaroo Steaks that you can feed to your pets (including Blumaroos) so it's not like it's a new thing. Don't see why it's so shocking.
Anyway, the art is amazing and I love everything about this new shop. :heart: I need that laser pointer!

Omg I am so in love with Clementine! I think I could stare at her all day. Also love the shop and all of the items so far. Well done all around, Subeta! I’m having a great Subeta year...first all the new vegan foods and now a pet store and Clementine...feeling spoiled!
