Making me keep this to three favorites is basest cruelty. I can't in good conscience skip the RoboCast Feline Transplant Model (kitty nose!), the Timepiece Inspired Eyeshadow Kit, the Studded Moon Crown, the HiTech Replacement Cornea, the Novelty Modem Lip Balm, the AntiGrav Forcefield Boots Advert, the Golden Cog Compact Tin, the Glistering Contacts, the Moving Gears Trinket Box, the Crimson Nectar Perfume, the Escaped Electric Motes, or the Ballroom Rift Cape.

Reminder to people in the comments that the people who made these are probably reading the comments on their items very closely, and some of you are saying some kind of hurtful things. :( Criticizing or saying you don't like the items won't do anything now, so maybe if you're dissatisfied, keep it to yourself.

I agree with Fouguri_947, it would be super nice to have had a notification as to why our CW entries didn't make it into this pool. Its super heartbreaking to have worked so hard, and waited days just to be confused as to why my item isn't even there to be voted on.

I really like the Ballroom Rift Cape (though the very narrow waist is a surprise) but I'm wondering how layering would work? I'm not very experienced making human avatars, so how would one get a shirt under the electricy bits but above the narrow waist/cape itself? Or would that not be possible? If it isn't possible I'll need to shift my vote sorry :(

I'm underwhelmed by the choices as well. So many beautiful looking items with disappointing actual use.

I wish we had 5 votes because that's exactly how many I want to vote for. I'm stuck between the Stardust Spyglass, the cartoon face (is that a Bendy reference I spy there?), and the feline nose. The poff and the sleeves were an easy decision though. Presently have the spyglass in since I feel like I have the best chance of using it, though the nose might be workable. Toon face is only because I'm a nerd (for both old cartoons and BATIM).

I hate to be a downer, but I struggled to choose 3 items... Quite frankly the designs just aren't that interesting. The facial features (as others have mentioned) are very similar to already on-site items and none of them offer anything special for the holiday theme. The clothing items are nicer but still pretty boring in all honesty! Previous CW competitions like this have had significantly nicer items come from them and I personally thought the masquerade would churn out some really snazzy designs, but apparently not.

It was easy for me to pick the three since a LOT of these face items are VERY similar to onsite items and honestly none of the wearables spoke to me. It will be interesting to see what wins and if I'm gonna be hanging onto my trinkets or not.

Honestly, I'm really disappointed with how similar and generic so many of the facial options are. I know people will say "but this is the only time we can make custom eyes and mouths!!" but honestly, I'd much rather have something that actually fits the holiday and its aesthetic than Generic Closed Eyes Number 56. I'm not trying to discourage any of the artists who submitted those choices, but I really would love to see more variety in terms of face items to vote for.
On the other hand, the actual clothing items that were submitted are awesome!! I'm especially fond of all the Rift-themed stuff and that old timey cartoon mask. Please, for the love of all that is good in this world, give me the cartoon mask.

@MagnusTheRed I feel you. I was so excited that we got extra time on the contest because I thought my first entry was a bit rubbish and the extension meant I had the time to create something better. Guess which of the two made it through. Although, at this stage, I'm pretty amazed that anything I produced has actually passed muster and got this far. I just like participating!

I did an entry for the contest and didn't make it to the pool. I hope I won't sound too harsh, but I would have enjoy to see a little message feedback on my submission to let me know what wasn't good about it?
I mean, was it the whole idea that didn't fit the theme of the contest, or did I miss any technical mistake...
I spend a lot of time this weekend to finish my entry in time, and this cold "You have 0 items in the contest" just make me sad.
I am not a child, and I can understand "why" my entry wasn't selected if someone take the time to explain it. However, as an artist I feel really hurt and ignored. It's like if my hard work doesn't deserve any concideration at all.
However, I like a lot of the selected entries, and I will post an other comment later to congratulate the artists who did them when I would feel better.

This is hard!! While I DO love a lot of the wears, I put my votes on eyes/lips because they’re amazing and it’s also because no one is allowed to make eyes and lips.
The wears can be resubmitted on the artists custom made threads, but eyes and lips.... we NEVER get custom made face items (eyes, lips, nose ect...)

I think the entries that made it to this point are those that met the CW submission standards/however staff decided when it comes to facial features and things not allowed to be submitted as CWs.
The staff picks are also coming out of this set of items after user voting is finished (and 5 of those will be facial features in case that affects anyone's voting).Saint confirmed this farther down the page

Hmm. I'll be the downer... I'm not really 'inspired' by many of these. I liked one of the closed eyes one the best, but I can't remember what the other two I voted for were. i dont understand why people are ignoring the eyes and lips as this is the only time users can submit eyes/mouths. we can submit clothing at any time, of course people are going to jump on their seldom opportunity to get eyes they want.

honestly i think Timepiece Inspired Eyeshadow Kit is my favourite of the bunch, they're beautiful eyes id love to have more eyes on site like that contest or not tbh
