Clarification on Free Shop + Lag

Just some clarification on the lag and free shop:

We fixed the original problem of the Free Shop yesterday, where the database wasn’t clearing out items that had already been grabbed so there were thousands of rows of phantom items clogging up the DB.

This early morning, however, was a different issue! There weren’t enough users to grab items out of the shop so the shop just kept adding more without eventually clearing like other restocking shops. I cleared out well over 6,000 items when I was able to get on today! We’re working on a solution for this today so it doesn’t happen again tonight.

I know how frustrating this is for y’all, and we’re working as quickly as possible to fix these issues so everyone can enjoy grabbing a cool item or two.

:) That's beceause items ran out of the pool. That will happen now and again throughout the week, but we'll get the pool filled up again asap.

@Amber it doesn't seem to be restocking. It says "restocked now" but nothing has been going into the shop. I don't think it's a matter of missing the stock either.

@Sincere I don't add any 170 (battle loot) or 200 (CWs). I also make sure to clear out any possible weapons, after previous years where things like god weapons went out when they shouldn't :x

Thank you so much! Ngl, the lag can reeeeally frustrating, but having you communicate what’s going on makes it much more understandable on our end. I think everyone would be a lot more understanding about site issues if you kept up this communication about everything!

Thanks for the Free Shop, even with the lag. I haven’t nabbed a ton of nice items, but I’m super grateful for the ones I have gotten.

@Nanny don't want to speak for the mods but sometimes it can be empty for a bit but things will restock. It doesn't stay stocked 24/7. And they'll announce prob when it's closing & there's a date on the front page that tells you it ends Feb 4th.

Not nearly as frustrating or irritating as still not having the csc + GA membership renewal cleared up 4 days after y'all took my money and also still not having the "supervisor" staff member it was reassigned to not even reply.

I just love giving y'all $20 for 0 CSC. But it's all good because the free shop got hand cleared again -_0_-

As of right now, I don't determine how many items restock at once @Chocolate! It randomyl chooses, like any other restocking shop. Sometimes I see like 50~ items restock, sometimes I see like 300. Right now looking at the database there are 235 from this past restock.

There's a chance to grab great items you might not otherwise get a chance to own (including collection & cash) so some lag imo and having to refresh a while, is worth it, it's FREE.

That being said, I just watched a restock sell out within 30 seconds. Just seems like there should be a happy medium between having items in stock, and crashing the site completely.

I have no idea how people are getting multiple cash shop/collection etc of items. I just keep getting 10k and under stuff xD My luck is horrid apparently!

Thank you for the updates and for all the staff does to at least make an attempt to fix the broken parts of the site! I'm sure it's more frustrating on your guys' part.

With all due respect... I've been a long time member and I simply don't understand how it's possible that in all these years these things keep happening over and over and over again. It's like a hellish cycle which keeps repeating. I know you're doing your best, but since there are still such big issues with things like that, maybe something else should be done? :( It sucks immensely to see the same or similar issues over and over again.

Thank you for ALL your hard work. I remember hiccups and headaches in the past years, including a week long broken site. You've all worked so hard to fix the site and keep everyone updated on your progress.Keep up the amazing work, but don't burn yourselves out or stress yourselves so much that your health suffers!
