Sorry about that @Judy. Yes, visit Shadowglen and search for Blake. You don't have to wear anything specific. I found him at Jaxon's manor, others found him in other places. I guess it's a crap shoot. Let me know if you've found him.

Would somebody stop talking about morostide- being late or too short- long enough to explain how to find Blake to an old lady who can't figure out clues?
I don't think anyone meant any harm. I guess maybe because things irl have been getting cancelled left and right, this is the one thing that can be on time or expected as normal. But it has been a hard year for certain, 2020 does not want to let up. :c

@poppet I think that's a bit unfair. At least one of these users has elucidated upon their concerns and has been understanding/appreciative once they are given more in-depth desciption. I have faith things will work out, but I think that's it's entirely blind to deductive, logical expectation to ignore that there might be issues (even if we had started early) and that it might be all the more worrisome if there are delays. That said, I think staff have lives and well-beings and families and other REAL things that take precedence. We can't really know if there isn't a re-cap of what is up or what is being scheduled. It all comes off as people being impatient and unsure... and people lording it over those who feel as such.

With everything going on in the world let's take time to be thankful for what we do have. We need to appreciate ALL the Subeta staff for all their hard work even in rough times like this. Morostide will start when they have time to do it and not a minute before so PLEASE have patience!!!!
It will get here when it gets here. The year has sucked for everyone and continues to do so.
As for me, well my daughter caught Covid and is still dealing with some of the aftermath of that, my hubby has ongoing health issues and so do I. I'm not going to complain about a delayed start of anything right now. Just grateful to have a place to come, away from all of RL.

How many of you users griping at staff right now realize that a good portion of our staff live in areas that have been ravaged by wildfires and deep clouds of smoke because of the wildfires? And the fact several of our staff are in healthcare and have been overworked due to the pandemic? Also some users have been harassing staff EVERY time something is a little late for years now. This whole year is a mess and staff are tired and doing their best they are human. Have some compassion and just hold your butts it will be here soon. Rah worked double time for months to make sure all the other people in her area had stuff and support so these events could go off and she didn't have stress while having her baby.
I think it is sad how much people have no sympathy that events get delayed, especially regaring what is going on in the world right now. Movies get delayd, shows get delayed, release of stuff gets delayd but when Moro gets delayd some here make a big fuss of it and don't see that Bug and Keith have some more urgent problems atm.
Be patient and wair and if it releases a week or two later, so be it. No on will die cause of it, nothing will burn down, no one will lose anything that keeps their live going. A bit more understanding in the times we are in right now would help everybody.

Let's not turn "Morostide delayed start" into an issue, please. This is a virtual game site and I doubt this is the main source of income/ entertainment for most, so why are we having such a tense discussion on when Morostide is starting? A delayed Morostide isn't a matter of life and death, is it?

Oh great, Subeta "soon." Skeleton crew or not, if Subeta won't or can't engage their users, then the users' time and money is going elsewhere. A clear start and end time would allow users to plan schedules and look forward to an event. Leaving users twisting in the wind is not cool.

I'd rather the event start a little later and possibly be a little shorter than have everything rushed, which would inevitably cause the site to lag and crash. I'm sure the staff have considered all these elements while planning the event, and I trust them to make it a fun time for everyone.
I totally commiserate with users who want to go virtual trick-or-treating, though. I just bought a house after living in an apartment and being unable to give out candy to the kids (not a lot of kids in my unit, plus they just went across the street to the single-family homes), so I'm really excited to celebrate online--even if it's far less involved. :P
Public health and safety is way more important, though. And the real-life responsibilities of the staff are ultimately more important, too.

Subeta's running on a skeleton crew, so we can't say it's really a normal situation either. It's really bad circumstances. Staff isn't pleased to take this long, but when several key members are away for different reasons, we gotta be patient.

It's understandable that users will want to know when an event is start. It isn't understandable that an admin saw fit to be, in my opinion, quite rude to users who were asking a simple question. We can agree to disagree about how that portion of the comment section unfolded but I do think you're really misrepresenting the rest of the comments here by saying it "devolved into users complaining."
For what it's worth, I'm happy with the longer response that Amber gave and was personally curious about the start date for reasons similar to what @Northstar described. There is obviously nothing else to do now but wait patiently for the event to start when staff have the capacity to do so.

I realized that after reading Amber's last post about the skeleton crew dew to the pandemic and other things happening with the staff that a plot or anything like that will not happen this year.
I do believe that we should just be patient and thankful that Subeta is here for us at this time to escape reality with everything that's going on right now. :)

@Jasper - Not sure what you mean by "taking the bait," but I really do think you're projecting a bit too much emotion into Amber's reply. No one was "snapped at."

I understand staff are stressed and I'm sure they are doing the best they can to get this event started. It's just rough when you have limited time that you can spend on SUbeta, and your favorite month has just totally sucked so far and the one thing left that you are looking forward to in October still hasn't started, it's equally frustrating for users. At this point I"m just concerned that with my work schedule, by the time Morostide fully starts I'm going to end up missing out on the majority of it due to work. Where I live haunted houses have been cancelled, trick or treating is...up in the air at best (and since I live in a retirement community it's not gonna happen where I live), so morostide is the final thing I've been waiting anxiously for. So I can understand everyone's frustration with the delays, but at the same time I am sure staff is working as fast as they can to get it going. I just hope we get more than just a few days of it.

In previous years, when people asked when Morostide would start, the usual answer was "Soon". Until 2015, Morostide always started on October 15th, but now, it varied between the 13rd and the 17th.
So, if you ask the question, the answer will most likely be "Soon"

@Amber Which I understand, but this just makes me ask the question again: why not extend the holiday by however long it's going to be delayed? It's quite the surprise that that hasn't been your response. You won't even humor it as a suggestion. Also, you're willing to delay it because of site crashes, but not delays? Can you see how this logic is confusing. Also, another thing, no one's worked up. We're, at most, a bit miffed that the holiday is late and wanting to know when it'll start. If you can't answer that, I think that would be the wiser thing to say from the start rather than just dictating it'll start when it starts, implying we're just going to have to deal with the crunch that said delay creates. I'm fine with Morostide starting whenever. Given everything going on, I imagine some of the artists/writers/etc are dealing with other stuff. I haven't been as active on Suebta lately so I don't mind. Morostide has never had a set date anyway so shrug
I smell something different for Morostide. A plot...maybe? A reveal of something new? Who knows. I'm sure patience will pay off. :)

I'm repeating the "Morostide will start when it starts", @Jasper, because we've learned not to give hard dates for when things happen, in case it doesn't work out. That's why we try to stay vague for the start dates for a lot of things, though Morostide does have an end date of Halloween (unless we have to extend for lag or big glitch).
I say something very similar to almost every single holiday multiple times; things will start when it starts and we all just need to just go with the flow. I would love nothing more than to give y'all answers to things, I in general try to be as helpful as I can, but sometimes I (and staff) don't know when a thing will start until maybe a few hours before! I get a lot of users are frustrated when things don't start when they want/hope/expect. It's frustrating on our end for similar reasons; we want to give y'all a great experience but somethings things just don't add up to what we want/hope/expect.
That's why I include all information I can in the starting holiday news post, because it's at that point I can share information. That's when I have all the details set in stone for y'all. I don't want anyone to walk away from this comment thinking we haven't prepared ahead of time or things are going bad; it's just we are on a skeleton crew. We're in a pandemic. For the record, the 17th is actually the latest Morostide ever started - both in 2019 and 2016, for the record. We never had it start after the 17th - before 2015, it started on the 15th.

Morostide will start when it starts. You all will find out details in the opening message. If you have concerns then, I encourage you to bring it up. But right now y'all are just working yourselves into a panic over what could be nothing. I promise we've considered the timing. We've done Morostide this late before, we've done it earlier.
Will Morostide's start be announced before it actually begins? I think a lot of people expected it to begin today, so I'm hoping there's a heads up before it starts to not panic over missing something.
Maybe Morostide begins a little bit later. The staff knows most of de time a solution to compare some things who are different as usual. I hope so. There could be a technical reason or so or they spent more enegy to give morostide more qualety. I'll just wait off.

Wow this Blake is so easy even my weakest pets who never battle could beat him in 1 hit each. And I agree with Jasper, starting Morostide with less than 2 weeks to get all the TOT and patch items is kind of annoying and I would consider that starting late.
Maybe it's just cause of all the plot events with Jaxon and the one where the spirits became restless (opening of Shengui) that ghost hunting seems so silly. giggles

He's around Shadowglen...A friend told me to refresh Shadowglen but that wasn't working. Then I went to Jaxon's estate and there he was. Try looking around Shadowglen.
The backdrop loot is amazing, and Blake's costume as well hahaha. This is the best version so far :P
