Florrosada12That description... I'm gonna say it's Maleria, or a previously unknown enemy that will reveal themselves over the course of the year. Hell, maybe it's someone we thought was good or neutral but now they're causing havoc.
Idk, I will hedge my bets on Maleria, since I could see her saying the description in a dramatic villain monologue. She'd also have the most to benefit from controlling other people's bodies.
Unlike Merena, who was released from the Omen Islands and is free to do what she wishes (well, in the water at least), Maleria is still trapped here with her powers bound. While the possession magic seems weak right now since she controlled someone older and with no magic of their own, she'd have the year to practice this magic and gradually control more and more powerful subetans, eventually getting her claws into the Oracle or the Wizard and using their powers to unbind her own.
Then she'd either try to leave subeta or take it over (and ruin it) the same way she did her home planet. Maybe we'll get to travel to other planets as we work to stop her too.
Idk, a lot of this is wishful thinking, but I really want this to lead to something that will shake up the status quo on the site, positively of course. I don't wanna see subeta become a dead wasteland.
I know that the magic color scheme doesn't quite match her usual magic, but maybe this spell isn't purely dark magic based? Idk, it's a stretch, and I know it, but I did see a little purple in Vanya's possession eyes, and it would make sense that she'd mask the color to throw people off of her trail...

...There was the anime horror series a couple years ago and one of the first stories was about a kids soul being bonded to a dummy's body after being struck dead by a car aaaaand this thing looks exactly like he, the puppet, did.... I can't remember the name for the life of me but, did that happen to inspire the design at all? Even if not, I don't appreciate the war flashbacks to that episode. Thanks.

@Laurey ah, it took awhile to show up in the wardrobe. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it works with the clothes we have.

It's not a new skin exactly, just a new item. If you want to wear it in the wardrobe, you need to purchase it and add it to your wardrobe and then you can put it on like other items. If you want to unlock the challenger, you need to select that option, but it will delete the item after unlocking. So if you want to have the wardrobe item and unlock the challenger, you need to get two copies of it.
