I just restocked one, I think possibly the first? It’s 800 tokens if you need to know how much to keep on hand :)
@Shaman If I remember correctly, BHH restocks once every 12 hours and only restocks one copy of one item (someone else feel free to correct me if I’m wrong!). Because of that, it can be pretty rare to see an item restocked there, especially since you can’t visit too often or you get kicked out for a short period of time. You also purchase items in BHH with Wizard Tokens, just an fyi!
This is super pretty and kudos to the artist! I adore floral frames- I've drawn quite many of them over the years my own self, because I like them so, and tend to buy everyone else's also. Point: Moar flowery frames, plz, thank you!

Flower borders are a shared idea; calling it a slight to those who made CWs with a similar theme is like turning to someone who shares your name and goes "Stop copying me."
i think the card item art is very cute and i'm excited to see all the other stuff she's done for vesnali! (though i wish this one didn't go to the bhh, boo, hiss, etc :p )
I woke up and saw this in the directory and got scared I missed the TS so I'm actually relieved it's BHH instead for once.

Let's move on from the topic of items potentially being inspired by others. I've spoken with the artist and she had no clue about the item until it was posted here in the comments; this item wasn't meant as a slight to anyone or trying to carbon copy someone. Once Vesnali happens, you'll see a wide range of floral-related items she did, I just pulled this singleton out because I haven't had anything not part of a set in ages to release and I didn't want to just throw it in the Token Shop. As a few people have pointed out, florals in spring + in a border isn't exactly breaking news for the season. The artist originally intended for this to be for Vesnali (but I took it because BHH be lonely); she specifically used pink peonies (and the other florals you'll see come Vesnali) based on yard work she's been doing the past few weeks.

@LilithianComplex that's a valid aesthetic, but it really isn't my aesthetic, and my point is... it's also not the aesthetic of the items the BHH item is being compared to. Like, I'm not saying you have bad taste if you prefer the BHH item, although I don't.

Nobody has ever come up with anything in a vacuum since the first hominid had a creative idea. I’m wondering what the goal here is. Do y’all want staff to add a disclaimer to every item they make, just in case there happens to be a CW that has.. the same kind of flower in it? If the Subeta artist who drew this one isn’t the same artist who drew the other on-site wreath borders, does that mean they copied? Like, where do we draw the line lol, cuz calling something a rip-off is really harsh for someone drawing some flowers.

in regards to the cw situation: both official items and customs copy, alter, and build on each other. the fact that two seperate items were mentioned as being the inspiration for this is proof enough that the idea isn't some unique thing. floral borders have been in various incarnations for a while now. and i love that this one has a continuous, asymmetrical border

I appreciate the asymmetry of the art and the variety of size in the leaves and flowers =] It feels like such a natural flow of growth, and for what it's worth, I find that rather appealing for a nature-themed item. A beautiful item ^ ^
ahhh gosh can we just be happy for more pretty items onsite? once a CW is accepted it becomes property of subeta, so I don’t see the problem here whether it was copied or not.
It’s so beautiful! I love that it fully outlines the HA box, it’s so hard to work with the ones that cut off parts of the avatar.
i'm still learning my way around subeta & haven't really been to this place before, but it looks neat :~) (also the border is gorgeous <3)

This does not look anything like your CWs to me, @Butterflies. Look at all those bare unbalanced stretches of vine and huge weedy leaves. It might be an homage but it sure isn't a copy.

A flower isn't an original idea. Floral boarders are old as shit in concept. Anime tributes aren't original ideas. Tributes to books aren't original.
They're fun, with absolutely beautiful (sometimes outright breathtaking) art. Not original. Gatekeeping artwork because someone did something semi-similar before is not a good thing to do.

In a way maybe that's the best option, because if something was given an appearance rate of 0.1%, it would have a REALLY TOUGH chance of appearing with only 2 random stocks per day.

Nope, @iara, because some things become so cheap like 80k. I periodically go through and clear out things that aren't worth the tokens to make sure other things have that space to restock! Sometimes we over or underestimate how popular an item will be so the original stock of it is a tentative plan. :) I keep an eye on the items so nothing is "retired" or like rotated out of stock for long.

Oh, the BHH stock is limited? I thought it was permanent and only had a chance to appear every day (between the two daily items that it stocks)
Wouldn't it be better if all items were permanent, and shared an "appearance" rate in BHH? Just in case someone forgets to refill the items like you just did.

@Dude I think it can stock more than one item at a time, very rarely, it just only stocks one copy of each thing. I've seen two items at once in there before.
😣.. since 12 years i follow the post to the Shop and m' angry of myself cause i know before the shop is empty.. rabbish... aaarrrg... 👊
BHH tip - set it as your link to subeta. You might get banned a lot but I use it as my bookmark on mobile to navigate to the site and I catch quite a few things :)
