Summer is almost here!
- The Millionaire Center and Seasonal Quest Shop will be switching from Spring to Summer on June 21.
- Nuegarten will be happening this July! Thanks to user input, we’re going to be bringing back, at the very least, the Food Trucks! Note: There will be no new items for the trucks, just the opportunity to get all those delicious old items.
- Our Summer quest-a-thon will be happening BEFORE Neugarten. ;)
- We will be bringing the Free Shop out for y’all to enjoy AFTER Neugarten.

No need to get dramatic in the forums, people get excited for the free shop for many reasons, a big one is achievement hunters get a chance at old items that literally can't be bought. they are just looking for an update, no one is salty.

If you're salty it's directed at you. Like, seriously. Staff here does a LOT, goes above and beyond, and everyone gets so mad at them over stuff like this. They have real lives too, and this site is their job, not their life.

Oh thank GOODNESS those food trucks are coming back. :I I wasn't fond of that event gating access to those or the other shops; I missed the non-CSC entry so I missed out completely. More general availability of Peka-Boo stuff would be great, honestly....

Also can we get an official statement as to whether or not it's permissible to use Forums groups to stash our SP so that higher-SP Subetans have a chance at completing Sarah's quests? As well, if this rule gets changed, will Staff be going through and unbanning users who were previously banned for this rule violation?
My memory of the event is also very vague, like with most events before 2018. I should have documented as much as I could. I will with the next plot/one-off event.

sorry to hear pekaboo was a pain to work on, but for what it's worth it was an absolute blast and personally, it was my favorite event ever and i'm very grateful for that memory

Yay, stuff happening soon! :) I don't even really remember what peka-boo was, I know I was around for it, and also that it's be nice to have it(or something similar) again. But I'm very happy about quest-a-thon and neugarten!!

Like I said earlier in the comments, @hannahharmin, that's the tentative plan but I didn't want to commit to it in case it doesn't happen (but for sure food trucks will be back). :)

Super sweet update! I hope we can also play Peka-Boo Festival this year too, because I miss a LOT of clothing items that I would LOVE to get my hands. I mostly just want all the Sailor Suits!! :D

I'll be honest, @HeadPhonz, Peka-boo (the original year) is just a big blur in my mind. Rah and I put that event out while I was staying with her after I spent like 7 months working abroad at a few startups for tech experience and I just remember being exhausted at her place while she was frantically drawing the trucks at like 2am and I was working on adding the items and getting things set up hahaha.

I'm really happy that you're bringing back some past stuff during events, because I missed nearly a decade's worth of events during my hiatus from Subeta (I have no excuses, I basically just kinda forgot the site existed for a few years)
After I came back I've been super invested in everything, so all these events have been so much fun ;v; And event currency payouts being fairly high has been helpful because I have a LOT of backlog on items lmao

I wonder what this battle thing is, and if it will related to the possessed challengers (since it's halfway through the year and we could have a plot twist or reveal) or if it will be its own thing.

@Walrus What I'm meeting for specifically on the battle topic tomorrow is just some last minute programming! The art is done (always a big task), the general idea is settled, just a few minor details before we create the page!!! But if you're talking about the general plans of this news post, that's why I gave vague dates like "july" instead of "1PM EST ON JULY 24" haha.

@iara Yes, those food trucks! Neugarten has its own stalls (focused on sustainability and what not) but the food trucks from Peka-boo happened in the summer in the past as well.
@jensen @Sincere I don’t have plans for the summer to include Jelly, but there is some battle stuff on the horizon!

At the very LEAST the food trucks, hmm? I wonder if that means the wearables from the Peka-Boo trucks will come back. It would be very nice if so, I really love those plastic chokers but do not love their user shop prices (no shade on the people who have them stocked for a pretty penny, though, those items are rare at this point and it makes sense that they're priced accordingly).
Slightly afraid to see what the quest-a-thon goal will be raised to since last year we knocked it out of the park after like 2 days due to the built up enthusiasm after not having one for years lol.
I also hope that the food trucks will be a permanent addition to neugarten, it's hard enough not having access to holiday items that come around once a year when it comes to neugarten, but the food trucks are insane with their appearance every 3-4 years. Even if there's never any new items it will at least make it so you're able to get something around an expected time if you suddenly need something for a new TC.
