Free Shop: GO WILD YALL

The Free Shop is open from now until 11:59pm on September 14. We will be keeping an eye on the shop to do our best to keep it from overcrowding and freezing up. If the shop does get to this point and hasn't been cleared in some time, please ping me here in the comments! <3 There may be times when nothing restocks and that’s just because the pool of items it grabs from is empty. I’ll be periodically adding more to it, but I am human and need sleep sometimes!

Remember that any free item is a good item. I’m adding items from all over the place (Melody, free gifts, restockables, retired items, cash shop, etc). Some things may not be worth as much as others, but it’s still free.

So mostly of my pulls have been every day loose items, which are cool and nice then

drops like nothing happened! As cute as it is I rather not hold it if I wont use it.

If I made the shop "only nice things", the wait time would be well over 10 minutes. :) It's your choice to try your luck at the mystery boxes, sometimes you'll get something expensive sometimes you won't.

I have to say, I've been really impressed with everything I've been getting. Really only got one "junk" item and even that was pretty cool and worth something to me. Maybe I've just been getting lucky, but it's been really nice!

I actually love the random, low-cost items. I haven't gotten anything of particular value but I'm enjoying the surprise and I appreciate seeing random item art that I'd forgotten existed or haven't seen yet. I really don't understand why there's people getting mad at the "worthless" items; y'all should be introspective and analyze why you're reacting so strongly to this.

Even when the shop restocks, there's still no items for me to check out. I can't tell if other users are hoarding the items or if there's another reason. Either way there doesn't seem to be much point in trying to get any items from this shop.

I'm having rather horrible luck, only getting two very expensive items so far, one of them a WL item. I can't agree that any free item is a good item, because if that's the case, the DC would've been cleared out by now. It's slowed quite a bit because we're down to the cheap/useless items. Most, if not all, of the holiday currencies are gone, as is anything over 50k. I have to agree with the post below, I would rather wait 10 minutes for a guaranteed good item than to waste five minutes on things one can currently find in shops.

This isn't a complaint -- it's just something I'm curious about: What's the strategy behind putting very common restockables in the Free Shop? (Surely the site doesn't need yet another Lilac Mini Blender!) If the point's simply to make the more valuable items harder to obtain so that more people have a chance to get them, what's the advantage of putting more common items in the shop versus another strategy like making the wait time between purchases longer?
