Not So Friendly Challenger: The Mage

You have been checking in with Esther over the past few weeks. Morostide has come and gone without any sign of the malevolent force, yet no one truly believes the threat has passed. While you’re out for a stroll, you suddenly feel the hairs on your neck prick up. Another piece of otherworldly paper floats toward you, landing gracefully at your feet. You quickly grab it and read the message.

“It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? It was nice, being able to work without interference. I can feel your frustration. Looks like your little coalition isn’t so effective. Or perhaps you can feel that my cause is righteous? It doesn’t matter. We’re nearing the end of this excursion and soon it will all be laid bare. I hope you’ll make the right decision when the time comes.

As it is, there’s someone in Shadowglen I’d like you to go see. He’s a very recent acquaintance, but I think he’ll make a persuasive argument in my favor…”
