Hosting Provider Issues 6/13 (resolved)

Subeta's hosting provider, DigitalOcean, is experiencing failures and difficulties with some of their services. This means that downstream, sites like Subeta might be having problems such as dropped pages and incomplete loading. Since New Subeta powers forums, avatars, and other features, some of those issues and outages may impact several site features at a time.

DigitalOcean has a status page here and we'll be monitoring on our end to see if there's anything we can do. Stay cool in the meantime, even though summer changeover is soon. :wink:

EDIT 6/14: DigitalOcean reports that they have resolved this, and the site should be back to normal operation. Thank you!

I cant get the forums to load and I had to quit a major drills quest because there is no minions to feed

Same. Wardrobe works for me but not forums at this moment.

That may be the case, DigitalOcean had another incident yesterday and it could have affected the cron server. Keith's taking a look at it now.

Is this a thing again?
I woke up in the night and sent my pets into training - well sort of tried to. Very slow and error prone.
Now no suggestions on shop search.
Aaaand: Forums not loading (wardrobe works)

Forum threads are still loading for a long time for me or don't open at all, item directory, too.
User search isn't available.
Keeping my fingers crossed that all the problems are fixed soon,

It will get sorted out! Per the status link, DigitalOcean already figured out the root cause. Now they just have to patch it across the board. All the data is still intact, it's just not always getting through the digital pipes, so to speak.

Yes, I initially went with an announcement so people could get forum points for the replies buuut with New Subeta being one of the things that is getting clogged in DigitalOcean's pipes, a straightforward news post ended up being more accessible. Here's hoping you posting here rubs some digital luck off on the next person trying the forums!
