oh wow, I didnt realize this was a tribute, but that is very kind. My condolences to everyone acquainted with and affected by this artist <3 that's really lovely that they kept his table up at NYCC ;u;
Beautiful tribute item. He was on his way to New York for Comic Con when he suddenly passed away, or at least that's what was explained on NYCCC's FB page. They even left his table at Artist Alley, which fans were able to sign and decorate as a memorial. It's a shame that anyone, regardless of talent, passes away at such a young age. My condolences to his family, friends, and fans for the loss of a truly amazing artist. :(
I was really touched to see this free item. I've been only one of so many inspired by Kim Jung Gi and his works and seeing all sorts of artists come together to celebrate his life is beautiful. The artist community lost a legend. Thank you Subeta team and Rest in Peace Kim Jung Gi.
@Hunter tributes are typically done by an artist who is familiar with the person and appreciated their art/life/etc. I did a tribute for Terry Pratchett because his works are some of my favorites and have had a huge impact on me as a person, however if I hadn’t, there likely wouldn’t have been a tribute simply because the others on the art team didn’t have that connection.
How do pick and choose who gets tribute items? This artist gets an item, but nothing for Coolio or Loretta Lynn?
Did not know who Kim Jung Gi was until this item. Have now watched several videos and am in awe of his talent and saddened at the loss to the world. Rest peacefully. Thank you for the book.

I just looked up whom this tribute item is for: Kim Jung Gi, a famed South Korean illustrator. His work is bomb!!! And art is my true love. I miss him already

For Kim Jung Gi? I only learned of his art recently from an ad in korea but I was really impressed. Art goals.
