Trick-or-treat WAVE 2
Just a reminder, for every 5 people to trick or treat at your house, you’ll get an item as well!
Here is a quick link to the Random ToT. This link does expire, and when that happens just hit the "Random Trick or Treat" button on the page and you should be good to go! Random Trick or Treating gives you a shorter wait time of 5 minutes during most of the holiday and 3 minutes on the last day. Regular ToT and Random are on the same timer, so choose wisely.
We have removed all items from before 2021 from the ToT pool, so you should only be getting items from this year and last!

I dont like this 10 second or so delay after every 7th purchase from user shops. How am I supposed to buy a bunch of the crap quickly"er" now??
Also. Just a PSA. Dont buy the last lowest priced item on the shop search. If you leave it there, theres a good chance more will be priced low from the ones who auto price.

Oh I ADORE the vampire capes--both the item art itself and the wearable overlays. Now I just need to get two of all of them so I can put them in my gallery and have enough left over for my wardrobe LOL

This year's choices were great--I love Blackbeard, and Velma as I said before. Didn't mention Uhura before but should have. I'm an oldie and I grew up as a small child watching Trek episodes sitting in my dad's lap. I met Nichelle Nichols when I was 14 and it was a highlight of my life. (We were on an airplane leaving a Star Trek convention.) I just about cried is why I didn't say anything before. I was a member of her fan club and still have some old Furaha zines and was so unhappy about her situation in the final years of her life. I know that Uhura probably made it in this year because of Strange New Worlds and that's a totally different actress (who I still like for Uhura SO much more than Zoe Saldana), but even so. <3 <3 <3
The one doll I had hoped for, and was sad not to see, and I bet this would have made @swashbuckler happy is Our Dear Friend Jonathan Harker From Our Emails. Dracula Daily has been so popular this year on Tumblr!
Maybe next year our blorbo Jonathan will make the cut? (I'm not even in that fandom, I'm a Transformers and Gravity Falls person mostly, but the Dracula posts have made me smile a lot.)
(I am also hoping that the coming EarthSpark series will get us a Megatron next year. I've only seen the teaser but that reformed baddie Megatron--a la IDW but for kids--is too cute for words.)

I also wonder if there will be new achievements released? Especially for the rag dolls? I don't normally keep things in my wardrobe unless I need it for an achievement, but I am hesitant to sell these, knowing there have been achievements in the past.

@Stiles I wasn't saying anything about not wanting pop culture inspired dolls. Like I said, I was just stating that it would be cool to get some dolls inspired by more classic media, instead of just the 'show of the year' kind of deal being the focus for the whole line up. It's cool that a lot of these people got dolls they were into, and I think that the art for the dolls this year was AMAZING and super cute! I was just mentioning that it might be nice to get a bigger mix up in the future, with some of the more classic, longer standing pieces of media

@samson simply pointing out they suggested something more of when they had already expressed they didnt want it, isnt anything but that. And there was nothing wrong with pointing that out. But I can see youre along with them wanting to ignite something and not here for it, just wanted to say hey sucks you dont get to always see what you want but is what it is, maybe next year. @Stiles why did you feel the need to point out they were also referencing pop culture in their post when they stated that they wanted some more pop culture classics? also a far as i can see, there wasnt anything said that was nasty or implied that they thought there were too many refs? there wasnt a single negative comment in in their post. the rag doll line is nothing but pop culture references, as are a lot of other items on the site, so i doubt they were say 'ohhhh booo too many pop culture refrences waah'.
they simply suggested that it would be nice to see some older stuff too. and aside from that, the user base of this site does have a large community of older users. so again, im sure that plenty of other people would love to see older shows they love and hold dear. and yeah, its luck of the draw, they didnt demand anything, they made some suggestions, which staff don t seem to mind. it has nothing to do with hating new stuff, or being bitter.

@samson didnt say there was anything wrong with suggestions, but there have been a lot of classic dolls in the past already released, and their issue seemed to be that there were too many pop culture refs, so simply pointed out that they were suggesting pop culture refs, too, and maybe let people be happy for the pop refs they like this yr. I'm sure there are a lot of refs people would like to see, but its a luck of the literal draw. Js.

@Stiles yes, those are also pop culture, but swashbuckler did specify 'classics'. im sure there are many people out there aside from myself who would love to see something other than the trending shows of the year that over saturate every other platform. there are plenty of people who like those shows, but again, swashbuckler suggested a mix of old and new. it would be great to see classics that are still popular. i always look forward to the rag doll releases, but i didnt see a single one here that i would want, because i dont watch or like any of these shows. i dont think theres anything wrong with making suggestions because thats what the comments section is for??

I have gotten ONE of the 2nd-wave items in the last like dozen ToTs and the rest have been from last year; what is going on? Is the random ToT weighted toward old stuff or what? This feels even worse than the first wave...

@Valiska oh absolutely I'm just lamenting all the catching up I have to do for normal collecting as well as themed food and TC for Invalid user: trick or treat but I wouldn't want everyone to be stuck getting stuff they already have just because I need everything from the past lol

@swashbuckler the ones you suggested are pop culture references, too. Granted, idg or like the references this year, but others do, so sometimes it works out personally and sometimes it doesn't. I personally would have loved seeing Soldier Boy from The Boys or David Rose from Schitts Creek, but depends what the artist wants to draw, too

@IndoorCryptid They will be back next year, and many of them are also cheap. Go look at SubetaLodge and there are lists. A lot of the older items are under 10000 SP which is frustrating if you get lots of them and don't have the thing that I have about feeding all of my pets each of the candies because fair is fair.

The dolls are super cute and drawn so well, but I wish that we could get a few more classic designs instead of the pop culture references - especially since they're October releases. It would be great to see something from shows like Twin Peaks or X-Files, some of the other characters from big horror franchises (more from the Saw series, or some from Lake Placid), Charmed - legacy shows and stories! Even if the doll batches are half pop culture and half classics, I just think that it would add a lot more to the release, especially for the crowd that has been around for a while.

Well, at least I got as many cool things as I could while the getting was good. Guess it's time to hit up the shops.

Just to make sure, do you have any plans to release any achievements involving any of the 2022 items besides the Rag Dolls this year or not? I'm asking because if not then I don't have to worry about not being able to get everything in time aside from the ones I really like.
