LETS WATCH SOME BIRDS
Notes: After accepting the Bird Watching "Quest", you will have to find your daily bird somewhere around the site. They will float on the page like pumpkins during Morostide or flowers during Vesnali. Just like these, you want to click them in your most current window! If you have multiple windows open to the site and happen to find the bird in an older window, it won't work. Bird watching will be around until the end of August.

Hi, I was just wondering if someone could tell me what yesterday's bird for bird watching was? (Saturday, August 30) I would really appreciate it! :)
I found the new birds right away & for the regional birds I had to take it out of my gallery to turn in.
Just chiming in as well that I don't think I've seen a single regional bird this year. I've only been able to progress using birds in my minion zoos from past years.
I really wish this could be looked at so I can get some more of these birds.

I think my bird watching is broke today is day 2 of getting this bird and I'm not gonna be going any further until I get this 1 bird I never had to try this long *getting frustrated *

Even though we're only 10 days out from the end of this now, I'll chime in and say that the Omen Islands Gannet never appeared for me, and it's been at least a week. I've clicked all around the map, and Oman especially, without success.
Stuck on Darkside, then Riverside... The quest sounds like it should refresh upon the next day but doesn't. So best option is to buy/borrow from another user. Or sit out the remainder of the event. Saw some posts on the forums about this bug but didn't see anything from staff regarding fixing it. Hopefully they start spawning soon.
@Tallkoolone would you be willing to lend the Arctic Frost Ptarmigan? I'm stuck on that since yesterday and that bird is pricey! I'm happy to give collateral for it!
I've been waiting for the same bird to show up since day 1 lol i'm hoping the issues get fixed and they give us the same amount of time to find them as originally intended
@Elwyn @Selkie regional birds appear to be broken and aren’t showing up for anyone. There’s a few folks (myself, Jess, possibly others?) who are willing to lend the regional birds so you can at least progress past that quest and find other birds. Please comment one of us if you’d like to borrow! The bird isn’t consumed once you “turn it in”, she just looks at it and you get to keep it, so you can send it back after completing the quest.
If anyone is stuck and wants to borrow a bird, please ping or comment me! I have most except for these ones.
I don't need any birds right now, but wondering if there is a topic in the forums for people to post what bird they need so others can lend it to them.
I haven't had any problem this year with not being able to find the bird I need, but I remember that happening in events past. There should make an option to give up on the quest so you can get a new one the next day.
Man looked everywhere for an Arctic Frost Ptarmigan!? Idk it's been a couple days now, really wish you could drop those quests?
3 days since the beggining and I'm still can't find the Arctic Frost Ptarmigan u.u. I should have bought it when it was still cheap.
Clicked on every spot in subeta for 2 days now and I can't find the Shadowglen Dove, it's just stupid :(
Been checking all the pages on Shadowglen (including all the zombie den pages) for a Shadowglen Dove for over a day now. I'm going to give up as it seems like other folks are having similar issues. Bummer, I love the bird art! :(
I've got a request for Varied Thrush since, apparently, last year. Is it a regional and I'm not searching in the right region?

I'm currently stuck on a Riverside Wren. I can't say I'm exactly surprised this isn't functioning correctly. :(
My current bird is the Sacred Lands Quail and I have not been able to find that one. It's possible theres a bug for the regional birds atm

Just now I sat down and visited all the Arctic Frost locations, then refreshed in Arctic Frost 1000 times (yes, literally, I counted), with customCSS to lock and prominently highlight floating items, and still did not see it. Are some birds really supposed to be that rare?

They just appear anywhere on the site UNLESS they have a specific location in the bird's name, in which cast it should be found somewhere by clicking around in that specific location

We didn't get birds last year. I believe I remember when we did get them that if you don't turn in the correct bird it resets at Subeta midnight & you can start the quest again, probably getting a different bird to find. Good luck.

@Theatre Not anymore, it isn't =\ Up to 50K now. I'm wondering if other people are having trouble finding the Omen Islands Gannet too. I've been refreshing at Omen Islands, Port Plunder, various places on the Explore map, all without success. And I've got code that locks pop-up items to the upper left corner of the page, so I'm fairly sure I haven't missed it.
But it's possible =| So, while I'm thinking about it: If I did miss the bird completely, am I just out of luck and have to buy the bird to complete the quest and try again? Or will the quest reset itself after a time? Or will the bird possibly pop up again somewhere else?
I understand how the quest is supposed to work, just not sure what happens when it doesn't work, if that makes any sense XD

Thank you =) I thought this was new because seems I'd remember, but perhaps it was just gone for a bit. In any case, I think this is really neat, I love birds, and nature in general =)

I'm not 100% certain, unfortunately, but my assumption would be that that achievement is more based on the turn in than the actual find of the floating item, so it SHOULD still count toward it. I have the achievement already, and I recall having to buy a bird in the past because I just couldn't find it for whatever reason, so I think it does count.

I've found 2 new ones already. Some of the bird names, like omen islands, don't tell you exactly where to find them but it gives a hint that you probably have a higher chance of finding it in that area. Good luck.

Oh wow I was born and raised in Ohio and the state bird is the cardinal.
We moved to Georgia over 7 yrs ago and the state bird here is the Brown Thrasher, so it's neat to see them both show up! :)
