The Sidelines will get "new" retired items soon!

I'll add the "new" retired items first, then remove the older retired prizes. I'll be as quick as possible not to disturb y'alls effort to help the NPCs. The new items of this year (like the neon halos or the glow belts) will not be removed.

The offering a dance @Andrea is cool! I don't know if Keith would have time to program that in though by tonight unforunately!

Yay! I'm so excited! Not going to lie...was getting a little dull...I have about 1,500 lounge trinkets just sitting and two bags. I'm like uh...okay so what do I do now -.-
Okay so, trying to be an objective devil's advocate (that's basically my job, so lateral thinking is really hard for me to turn off 😂 )... and trying to look at this less as player duration and more from "adulting takes a lot of time and energy and I only have so much gas in the tank" perspective:
While 1,000 food/drinks made me recoil because mY tRiNkEtS it was kneejerk thanks to not having to go to a purchased page then back then to the year then repeat over and over (a change that I hope goes to all holiday shops because WOW game changer), but more importantly buying 925 items to then having to pick something I probably don't want/need x333 times = swapping stock is a good idea but still going to lead to the items being hoarded for years (an ongoing issue, based off shop/gallery restrictions?).
Alongside a stock swap, might I suggest adding something not tangible, or more importantly, NPC dances as an option? Like the give 3 for item, give X for a +1 random stat for your active pet, or give Y for the NPC to be like PHEW I'm stuffed let's dance.
The last would solve an issue for people like me who really don't have the time to figure out forum dance rooms/hope an NPC magically pops so I can get the challenger. I'd rather go for a random stat verses a pile of items I really have no use for taking up space in my dumping gallery. It might also help newer users who don't have 5k+ trinkets and thus aren't using them all to instead get items that're going to flood the market.

Oh this is exciting haha. I appreciate the heads up and I'll hold off on doing the rest of my donating until after the switch because i have several (more than several really) of everything right now. Thank you!

@Amber - if I'm given a timeframe I'm adjusting to it with the tons of things we need to do in addition to the daylies (which by themselves eat a lot of my time). I believe, I've seen all of the NPCs and got at least 3 of each item, but I'm not sure and was going to work on them further on. they take an immense lot of time to sort out.
Masquerade has never changed their items, everything was in the 2 shops!
Do you already know, how long the (as always much too many) challengers will stick around?

@BoaConstrictor I'm sure it is annoying to see a change out of prizes so quickly but it has been 10 days of being able to get these specific prizes. You've seen my comments about possibly rotating out things, so this shouldn't be a complete surprise. You will have a little over a week to get the "new" retired items. In the past, I would've just rotated things out without the heads up which I'm trying very hard not to do. People are doing A LOT of giving drinks/food right now because of the new challenger, so a lot of those prizes are devaluing quick. So even if you miss an old item or two, you will likely be able to see it on the market for cheaper than you would've before the holiday.

That is very short notice! You initially said, you might add more items, not retire existing ones. You should have given ample time - more than a few hours - for everybody to catch up. This Masquerade is immensely time consuming this year with the rotating NPCs (vanishing while being worked on), prize pools closing after every purchase + account search etc., thus basically not available to check, needing to scroll back up, buying is immensely tedious and long winded. I only discovered the user made guide day before yesterday, because it wasn't stickied in the fast moving Masquerade forum.

It makes sense as I have 315 foods/drinks given and keepking with that would end with me with a lot of doubles...
check the inventory I have ENOUGH crowns do it?... maybe a couple more won't hurt

I will be honest @Jigglypuff, I did not think that far ahead. Will have information when news post happens today!
thanks for the heads up amber!! should keep things interesting. are you planning on doing just this one rotation? would be good to know if i should keep spacing out my 1k~

I guess I should've thought about this before, but do the prize qualifications stack up? So like if you donate 30 items to an NPC, does that mean you can choose up to 10 prizes from them the next time they show up (if you've just been donating without collecting)?
